Hey Warriors!

Is there a widget for a Facebook-type of "Like" button that goes not just on the blog posts but on everyone's comments, too?

Or at LEAST the comments?

Hi Tiffany,

I don't think that there is one and I will explain you why:

Facebook identifies the site that has been liked by its URL. Now since the comments have the same URL as the main post there is no way for the system to separate them out.

I think it would be necessary to make the comments available as stand-alone pages with an own URL, so that you can like them on Facebook.

The alternative would be to integrate the Facebook comments to your blog. That comes with the drawback that only people registered to Facebook can post.

Tiffany, would Discover your community - DISQUS do what you want to do? It allows for liking and sharing of comments.

I've seen this in use on a few blogs. One for sure I know is wordpress.

Hmm not sure - what I want is not something that actually links anywhere to facebook. I want something similar to a like button that goes on my blog. It could just be a thumbs up versus thumbs down for my user's comments and my posts.

Does that make sense? I guess I was confusing relaying the FB part but I want something similar, not connected to FB.

Oh! I see what you mean now... there is a plugin for wordpress, not sure about others:

There are also rating plugins (stars based)
