Could try fiverr to get things rolling that's what I did, had a great response rate from a gig that promoted FB pages to his x number of friends and twitter followers.

For $5 it was money well spent.

I was looking into that, if you don't mind where the fans that you got from fivver to start off where they good fans, or a bunch of unresponsive fans?

You can start by buying fans from fiverr or paying others to like your page from webeserve.com or microworkers.com. Other option would be to buy fb accounts with 1-4k fans and start promoting the pages to them.

But these methods are only useful for the initial push of your fanpage, or to make them popular.

The real results comes when you start advertising or your posts goes viral. I have also seen people driving traffic to their fan pages from articles and already existing lists.

There are also a lot of apps to make the fans get engaged more on your page like the fanappz, these apps can also helps to get your posts go viral.

If you have a product you want to market to a specific niche, you could do blog posts and Youtube videos, twitter, etc and offer folks a "free guide" on you facebook fan page and all they have to do it "like" it order to get it along with other quality info that you have on your page.

If you have an email list you could offer them the free guide over at your fan page as well. If you are selling a product, then offer a discount for those who "like" your fan page and have the discount set up on your fan page.

when you click the edit button on your Facebook page, choose the Basic Information TAB and you will see an option to choose a user name which shortens your url for people looking for your page. An example would be my text software page.

The old address before I had 25 likes was something like this..
http: //Facebook.com/pages/Coupon-Text-Express/09844567921

Once I reached 25 likes, I was able to secure the user name CouponTextExpress

Now the url is Facebook.com/CouponTextExpress

Try to jv with a local business. Give your fans some kind of deal/discount to the business on a particular day, in exchange for liking your page. Set up a Facebook event, created by your page's profile, not your personal profile, and promote the 1 day sale event through that.

Start off by inviting the existing fans to the event, and their friends will see them as attending it on their newsfeed. Make sure to name the event appropriately, something like "The 1 Day Only Sale at ABC Store - 10% Off XYZ Product(s)", which will show up to their friends as "John Smith is attending The 1 Day Only Sale at ABC Store - 10% Off XYZ Product(s)"

On the page for the event, make sure you make it apparent that in order to get the discount they need to get the coupon from your fan page. Set up a reveal tab on your page, so that they can't see the coupon unless they like the page. Once they like the page, they can see the coupon and print it out and take to the store on the sale day.

You'll get a bunch of likes, your fans will get a discount at a local store/restaurant/etc, and the business will get a nice little surge of business that day. Everyone wins.

You can probably even get a cut of the sales that day from the business.

There are several programs out there. Chris Farrell and Jo Barnes come to mind. They both have a ton of free information and explain how the system works. Jo Barnes has put templates up and explains how to use them. She has a course that could be useful as well. I would suggest google her first. Check out the free stuff from them both and then decide if it is worth your time.

Jo Barnes and Chris Farrell both offer introductory prices to their sites less than $5 for a short while. That will be enough to check out their face book materials.

I like Chris' materials because they are also downloadable. You view after you download and then when you need to refresh yourself on a point - the video is right there on the desk top.

I personally (in my experience) think that the best way is to use facebook ads directing people to your fanpage. HOWEVER it also depends on what you are promoting and bear in mind that it will cost you some money. I have tried Fiverr before but I just got 1000 fans... ALL fake

your right. whats the point of spammy fans i am sick of so much services and people offering rubbish methods.

A few ideas:

Facebook's advertising platform is gorgeous. Targeting is incredible. You can target people according to their relationship status, for example (and that's great for some niches).

Increase your page's visibility, attaching it to your relevant online and offline assets. Email and forum signatures, press releases, blog posts etc.

Join NetworkedBlogs @ Facebook. Interact with others.

If you are a member of linkedin, you can hurry and get 25 fans pretty quick so you can get your vanity url. This is the discussion link that I am part of:

Also, i joined Facebook Pages Directory | List | Search | Learn as it is a growing list where people like you, and you like them.

I have two methods on generated fans on fan page...

First : Create fan page according on hot niche now... Example this is one of my fan page Fast N Furious 5 | Facebook I created this fan page since that niche was HOT on that time.. You know that movie right?

Getting fan quite slow but it worths to try since it free method.. It could give me 7-12 new likes a day..

Second : U may use facebook ads since it more targeted.. Of course you need to spend a couple bucks but if you know how to monitize it you can get one fan for 1 cent..

My entire business model is based upon building fanpages for clients and as such I need a fast turnaround on the initial 25 likes so that I can secure the vanity url asap - I buy the initial 25 likes, which are not necessarily targeted, then change the page username and only then begin the natural fan getting process.

Ok, its not the cheapest way to go about it but its systematic and works for my business model.

One of the best ways is to make 5000 friends in facebook with facebook blaster pro. (Requires investment)

The FREE method: You can make 10 facebook accounts and add 30 friends per day with each account. Also invite them to join your page. In this way you will be inviting 300 people per day.

Also, anyone looking to build a real fanbase of people actually interested in the topic and willing to buy from you, it would be best to spend the money on teargeted Facebook adds rather than Fiverr, and other "Buy Fans" services.

More expensive than what?

Fans from fan services will in no way be as engaged as someone coming from an ad that was targeted based on their likes.

Facebook ads are not expensive, and because of the viral nature, many times I get more fans than clicks and most clicks cost me 10 cents or less.

Facebook is about engagement. The time of buying fans, or following people on Twitter so they follow back is over. Don't waste your time.

The 25 fan limit has been lifted for the vanity url as well.

You also need to be posting content to the wall, but ads are by far the most effective way to build fans. If it is too expensive, you are in the wrong market or your marketing stinks.

I have a campaign runing now that is going to a fan page that is selling an artist print.

I have spent $180 on ads the last week and a half.

I now have 1491 fans

My fan cost = $0.12

My fan value = $.17

We have sold 8 prints for a total revenue of $258.30

My average CPC is $0.08

We are now expanding the product line to included a framed version and larger sizes which will increase the profit now that we know our targeting is right.

With purchased fans, my fan value would be $0.00

I would also be willing to bet more than 90% of the purchased fans never even really saw the fan page, and instead clicked a like button on a website under totally unrelated popular content. That is the reason they never come back to your page.

I just joined a facebook blog syndication app for £20 a month and am getting a few new fans every day from it.

I post a blog post and ask my fans to share it on their pages. gets me lots of traffic xx

about 9 mnths and i did advertise. I did a lot of free coaching last year and they were so loyal and got me fans too. its like pushing a wee snowball up a big hill, there is a tipping point in everything...... i get new fans every day now without advertising, I do comment and post links to my blog on lots of pages in my niche and there fans come and like my page. I do add tons of value there

I wouldnt go buying likes, all you will end up with is a higher number on your page and a load of dormant likes, you want real life active likes.

Go to Google ad planner and identify best demography for your niche or web site. Then start a FB PPC campaign. This is the best and cheap method to get targeted traffic.

Almost 100% of the fan pages I've seen that have 10,000+ fans are getting them primarily from Facebook advertising. The exceptions generally already have a strong brand (like Nike, etc.)

Mr. "Get 10,000 fans" has over 80,000 now for that page alone, and he started off in the baseball niche and has over 10,000 fans and 100K in sales for a how to coach baseball ebook. He's the real deal.

getting fans is not too big a deal,

you can buy fans as suggested, advertise on FB ads, throw contests and give away some freebies and many other ways

but i always believe that it's better to start thinking what value can you provide to your fans in the first place, and talk WITH your fans, not TO them
