I got a customer asking me how to watch read an ebook she downloaded. I had to go through the process of telling her to download Adobe Reader and extract the files using WinZip. It took me 15 minutes by email explaining it.

I had a customer who emailed me and asked what is keyword research. He always thought that keyword research contains one keyword since it's not "keywords research".

I got someone who asked me what is a resource box after reading information on article marketing.

My point is, people don't know what we take for granted as general knowledge. If you explain everything on your sales letter and messages assuming that the person knows nothing about your subject, you'll get fewer questions and a lot less support work.

But then again, if your message is to an experienced marketer, they'll ignore your message and say you're too long winded.

You can't win them all.

Mm. How about setting up a website for both types of users?

You could always try hyperlinking terms to explanation windows that open elsewhere, if you wanted to go that route.

At the beginning of an ebook/ecourse create a special chapter/video detailing all the FREQUENTLY USED TERMS AND PHRASES.

Its as easy as that... Advanced users might just skip it and newbies would love you for it.

That's a great idea - most people include that at the end, where people rarely make it to if they're confused!

    Excellent point Al,

I've learned this the hard way. When i first started selling things I wasn't as good at "covering all my bases" and I quickly realized that you really do have to make things as simple as possible, or else get bombarded by questions!

Once you start getting in this pattern of thinking, it does get easier.

    Good point Alan,

I do my best to stick to the point. I'm the absolute opposite of long winded. Sometimes I wish that I were able to talk for long periods but I think I get bored easily. So, when I write or speak, I like to get straight to the point without a lot of fluff.

It's embarrassing but when someone talks to me for too long, I will literally fall asleep on them. My sleeping (boredom) habit was an awful problem in school. I always seemed to get those instructors who wanted to go over the same topic 5 times. Sometimes I wonder how I ever passed in school since I think I slept through the majority of it.
