Advice Needed and a Request for Help

Anyone have experience setting up custom ebay stores and working with CSS? I have an offline client who is paying $250 for me to set up a custom ebay store page for them. They want it to look similar to this ebay store. Though, what I currently have looks like this.

As you can see I need some assistance finishing it up, setting up categories on the left side, getting the banner right and creating a search box. I spent nearly an hour fooling around with the header code in Dreamweaver trying to get it working on ebay. I would like to get this done asap as I started 2 weeks ago and am running over how long this should take.

I'm still learning how to set up custom ebay store pages and have been watching these video tutorials on setting up a custom ebay store (very helpful btw) but it will probably take me another week to get it right.

I don't want to loose my client I really need to have the rest of this money in my hands this week. They also told me they would like to have 2 other ebay stores done between $250-500 when I'm finished with this one.

Anyone have more experience working with custom ebay stores than me? I can't pay up front but I am willing to pay someone more experienced than me to get this done as I'm getting exhausted and frustrated working with it and am about to give up.

    I use odesk.com all the time for jobs like this where I need extra help. There are a lot of great people on there that would be willing to figure it out for you and it shouldn't take much of your profit to do it

      I can not help you with the ebay store but let me make a couple of observations.

      It is HUGE that you took on a client without waiting to get it all figured out. I commend you and that will serve you well going forward.

      Next. Make this the last project that you do without getting paid up front. We can address that later.

        I respectfully disagree with that. Taking on a project that you don't have the skills to fulfill could, potentially, be commercial suicide.

        What is "HUGE" is that the OP had the sense to realise that the job is beyond their current skills and ask for help, rather than delivering an under-performing site.

      I guess I'm going to have to up what I charge to about $300- 400 for this as I don't want outsourcing to eat up a lot of my profit. That's still probably cheap for this kind of service, well in NYC at least.

    Ask if someone *experienced* will take on the task and give you 25% of the job, it gets done, you get more work!

    It is very important NOT to take on work in advance if you do not know how to do it, it will back fire in the end, so reseach first!
