I have a list of 400 PSP related customers

I've run an ecommerce site for a few years now, I neverer intended to get big, Ihad a 5 product shopping cart and made OK money with it.

I only did it to get out pof debt and successufull did so, my goal has always been affiliate marketing, as the hands free business model excites me more, I didn't want to deal with chinese suppliers, cash flow issues, and dealing with physical goods, although, I have to admit the phyiscal goods model seems to be a more viable market sometimes because the affiliate market can be competitive.

I've had near 7,000 orders in 2 years, and out of them I have 400 comfirmed newsletter subscribers for a PSP related store, I don't know why, but I haven't even thought about hitting them with offers until now.

What are some good offers that I can pump out to these subscribers? Also what are good courses that I can get in order to teach me how to deal with newsletters, I'm entirely new to this area, and realise that I can f*** up my list by sending them badly written emails, and getting all the subscribers hitting then unsub button or spam list.

I am using my self hosted interspire email marketer software, and will run tests to see if the email is being sent to peoples inboxes before I procedd, ptherwise I will migrate to mailchimp.

    I believe the new PSP2 will be out sometime during the holidays this year. Also a new PSP-like phone from Sony Ericsson is on the works.

    I would provide "latest news" using something like "Google Alerts" - Really easy to set up.

    This is what I'd do...

    1. Set up alerts on Google Alerts for phrases such as PSP2, Playstation Portable 2, PSP2 Gamesetc.

    2. Gather the daily news and send out a weekly newsletter with a compilation of the daily news for the week. I would only do it weekly because I wouldn't want to seem too spammy sending out daily emails to these 400 subs.

    3. If you have a website that you plan to offer this product in, closer to release date, you could start informing about special deals or bundles you're going to be selling (maybe include a game with the purchase of the system at a 10% discount on the game?)

    3a. Another way is if you could take "pre-orders" at your website. You keep emailing them weekly newsletters and in each newsletter you add a link to your preorder page.


    Another method I'd use, if you're not going to offer the item on your website for sale, get an Amazon Associates account and simply send them through your link to the product page doing the same things as I mentioned before. Even better, once the system is released, you can always include in your newsletter the "best selling games" or even go genre specific "Best FPS for PSP2."

    I would..

    Send them some free PSP hacks.. follow up with accessories and games from amazon but try to appear as if you're just review the stuff. Then finally send them a clickbank offer.

    There are some really good Playstation related offers in ClickBank that you can promote to your list.
