Call Center Outsourcing?

Has anyone outsourced customer service/phone ordering for their website? It's something I want to add for my customers, but not too sure about the companies I'm finding - mostly looking at Indian companies.

Any suggestions/advice?

yes i have done so and it can help manage customer calls - most sales still come from the actual website - but it does free up my time greatly in dealing with customer issues, tracking information, and general inquires.

I would suggest an on-site chat service as well. we use zopim

There are a few telemarketing forums you can check into, I'd advise you to look there to find someone to do your telemarketing.

Thanks guys, so I guess there are no horror stories floating around about getting ripped off by any of these companies, or them doing a terrible job, etc.?

We outsource a number of our calls to the Philippines. Since we do online marketing for a number of celebrities, we wanted to make sure that the quality of the english and voice were our #1 priority. The Philippines has the most "soothing" english, since it's close to American english of course. And, the payroll is reasonable of course.

Another idea is to check out companies like Cybertary or VA services in the US. They hire the assistants in the US who then outsource to you on an "as neeed" basis.
