How do you juggle ??

Yes, you do need to give your business 100%, but I don't believe that means spending 100% of your spare time at your keyboard.

Let me explain more . . .

Sometimes we can bring more to our business by having some time away from it which perhaps leaves one feeling more energised, creative, focused etc. So that the time you do spend at your pc working is truly productive time and not just busy time.

Also, there are other things in our life that are important, ie. family, relationship with spouse.

So, my suggestion is to think about how much productive working time you need to spend on your business each evening and also plan some time in to spend with your spouse.

Then sit down with her and share your ideas about how you want to spend your time, and see where you can both come to an agreement. Let her know that the time you spend with her, even if its just 30 mins each evening, you will be giving her your undivided attention. Then make sure you do that.

I think you'll find that your working time will be more productive as you'll have had a break from it and not have the nagging feeling that you 'should' spend more time with your spouse. Hopefully, she will be happy too.

Another step is to plan out the work you are going to do before you even sit down at your computer and actually stick to, so that you don't spend time on activities that are unfocused or distracting.

It can take a little while to find the right balance for yourself, so I encouarge you to be willing to make the changes until you find what's right for you.

This is one of the risks of schmooze marketing, you will spend a lot of time massaging your user base. Based on your other thread though you're doing better than most with it. The most common result is few visitors that stick and no money so congrats on what you've achieved. Obviously you've found a model that's working for you so you will need to find a way to work it more efficiently until you've reached a point where you're making enough money and have sufficient savings to safely go fulltime online.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Write your posts for the week ahead of time on the weekend.

2. Strictly manage your work time and schedule time for breaks and other activities, just as if you had a boss and a work schedule.

3. Spend the bulk of your time on your most profitable activities (ie those that are attracting and retaining buying traffic) and cut back on those with a limited return.

4. Consider outsourcing some work.

Congrats on your fantastic results!

I think that with the money you are making, you could explore outsourcing some of the work. That would help to lighten the load.

I'd also encourage you to recognize that this is just a temporary situation for you. Working hard now will pay off in the future. I also think that establishing limits as was suggested here is excellent. Find out what your wife wants and what she is willing to temporarily forgo.

Thankyou for all the advice. All of what you have said is valuable to me and I appreciate that.

My view is that of what one of you said above the harder I work now to get it going the more it will pay off long term.

I do have plans to outsource some work after xmas but I do still want to keep my blog personal to me and do that myself.

I guess outsourcing my emails may help - Can that be done ???

It is getting to the stage though where I feel I may be boring my friends and family as its all I talk about.. Im just so passionate about this and to actually start to see it pay off is a HUGE thing for me

She doesnt really share my enthusiasum.. I have plans to outsource some work soon though.. Now Im making a little income that should make things easier
