Membership Site Software Recommendation? - 95% downloaded content

I'm planning on launching a membership site to a particular vertical market in 90 days. The concept is to provide multiple pieces of marketing material (graphic design offset/digital printing collateral and digital products) to each subscriber in drip fashion each month.

I plan on offering content that can be placed into 15 different categories (landing pages or articles or postcards for instance).

I'm considering DAP (DigitalAccessPass) but I'm not sure a WordPress style format is the best way to do this.

I want subscribers to be able to see and access categories of downloads that have been dripped to their account, but I'm not sure if I'm doing a 1st of the month LARGE drip or doing a drip of content every 2 days (15 content chunks through the month).

Drip is the preferred method as I don't want anyone to download all the content (as I've seen on a couple other subscription sites in this vertical market).

Suggestions? Recommendations?

aweber DAP, there are tons of ways you can do this.

Just make sure you do the research first, I have some very very successful membership sites, but my first ones were flops because I set them up wrong. Now I write down exactly what I am doing and want to acheive and work out the best way to get from point a to b the most effective way.

    Hope this helps.

Here's another option to look at:

Membership Site Plugin - Wordpress Membership Plugin - MemberWing

Has all the features you are asking about, and more.

Gleb is a member here, so if you have questions, contact him from his site. Great guy to work with.

    Thanks,

    John

I think a couple folks use wordpress for structured product downloads (like 5-10 pieces of content), but I'll be releasing anywhere from 30-60 pieces per month. Navigation to new content has to be clean, organized and immediately identifiable to the subscriber.

Is that something WordPress (along with DAP or something similar) can do well? (I use WordPress for basic blogging, nothing like what I'll be shortly needing.)

  • I use Amember for all my membership sites. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once it's set up and running, it's powerful and flexible. Plus it's not Wordpress-based.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Appreciate it.

Anyone running a similar "downloadable content-heavy" membership site? What are you using and is it fitting your needs?

Does anyone still use Butterfly Marketing software? From experience I know there are better options...also, has anyone built a membership site from Profit Theme yet?
