How do i open a paypal account

I want to go into this internet marketing thingy fully but it's unfortunate that i'm not allowed to open a paypal account and i can't also use clickbank cos i'm from Nigeria. One of the downsides of being Nigerian. Is there anything i can do about it?

No, not really. Sadly, Nigeria has received a very bad reputation because of all the financial scams that originate there.

You are being made to suffer by your countrymen who sit around in Internet Cafe's trying to steal money from gullible people. That has kind of ruined any chance of a successful, honest Internet business in that country.

If you know of honest Internet Marketer's there who are making money, you should ask them about how they do it.

I would say that people in Western Europe and North America don't want to take a chance on doing business with people located in Nighria. The risk is just too great, as you have found with PayPal and Clickbank.

There are good number of ways you can open the two accounts and use them successfully if you're really genuine.

For Clickbank, get a virtual office in one of the approved countries and use their address to sign up. This is the method I have been using. If you're close to Lagos, you can travel down to Benin republic to get a P.O.Box there. With it, you can get your checks down there and pick them up to deposit into your dom account in Nigeria. It works!

For PayPal, you need some kind of carefulness here. You can search for one of the reliable services by typing the following into Google:

"How To Open A PayPal Account in Nigeria | Fund & Withdraw From PayPal in Nigeria"

    I guess you'll get solution.

    Goodluck!

PayPal and Clickbank and many others choose not to do business with people in Nigeria. Using fake addresses to get around the rules is generally considered fraud.

I have read some of the advice offered under "How To Open A PayPal Account in Nigeria" and it suggested you commit fraud and openly violate the PayPal Terms of Service by saying you are from Niger rather than Nigeria.

It is a concern that some from Nigeria think it is okay to break laws and regulations in theses ways.

A rented office or P.O Box is not a fake address. Just go to US Mail Forwarding, International Shipping | MyUS.com and you can rent one.

What exactly do you know about Nigeria. I don't why some of you will site in the comfort of your home and start bad mouthing a country you know little or nothing about. Yes, very small percent of Nigerians. Something like 2000 out of 150 million are fraudsters just like Americans have fraudsters and other countries of the world. Why is it being blown out of proportion.

I have felt sometimes the same you feel, just because I am not American. I suggest you not paying attention to these kind of comments and just keep looking for ways to make money online, if that is what you really want.

I have sent you a private message that can be very helpful for you

This is an unkindness against Americans and really isn't fair. I did not speak against all Nigerians--as I have said previously, I think the situation is sad.

In reality, PayPal allows accounts to people living in 190 different countries. They have sound business reasons for not allowing accounts for Nigerian residents.

IMO, those who use false or misleading information of any kind to get an account (no matter what country they're in) are violating established laws and Terms of Service which endangers the security of us all.

EDIT: You say, "big online business players don't deal with us just because we are not worthy to them." I would say that is a political perspective, one that does not touch reality. I lived in a small nation outside the US for 10 years and that country had an enormous inferiority complex too--but the US still traded with them and gave full access in all ways even though they were a bit anti-American as a culture and their population was small. American companies don't deal with countries where they may lose lots of money due to fraud or corruption, not because of the people themselves.

Reread what I said. I did not condemn all Nigerians. In fact, I went out of my way earlier to say how sad it was that some had ruined it for all.

PayPal and Clickbank and many others have set rules about dealing with Nigeria, not me. If you live in Nigeria and you are saying you live in Niger to get an account, then that violates the law and the Terms of Service of most companies. The same is true if you try to use another IP address outside your country. All of these things (and more) were suggested in the pages on the Internet about how Nigerians can get accounts, even though many companies have banned those living in Nigeria.

Yes, America has fraudsters. But so few that all the major companies in the world still want to deal with us. Even you seem willing to violate laws and Terms of Service to get accounts under false pretenses, so maybe the problems is more widespread in Nigeria than some of us imagined.

I don't want to get into crontroversy, but I don't agree with this statement. The reason why major companies still want to deal with your country is because you have a much bigger purchasing power and willingness. If Nigeria were a rich country as the US, these companies would take the risk.

There are not online scamming issues here in Colombia but many of the big online business players don't deal with us just because we are not worthy to them

You could try opening a paypal account with a virtual credit card. A friend of mine from Israel did that, and now he has a verfied paypal account.
