Go back in time to avoid copying content?

Inspired by another thread about copying others' content...

There have been few instances in my life when I caught myself saying: "Cr*p! He got it already".

Once I came with a great way to learn a foreign language just to find out that it had already been created by some other dude.

Today I was reading an ebook and was shocked by the content. It was almost all my own words. The only problem is that I was just planning to write them.

The book I read today was quite a success. So, here's the question:

Would you still proceed with your own plan(to create a product) or back up in search for a free niche?

I would create my own product. If it is a popular niche there will be many prospective customers.

Folks on this website purchase more than one ebook and/or ecourse about Internet marketing. People interested in golf will buy more than one book about golf. People who love to cook will buy more than one cookbook.

    Feed the niche.

There is a 'You' factor. Everything is there in the world, but nothing gets complete without 'You'. So is the case here. And secondly, you just do not think it, you make it 'happen'.
So that the feelings of 'all my own words' will disappear.

I'm creating something currently that "already exists."

I have a different spin on it. I have ways to make it better.

Nothing is really new - just different.

    thanks guys

I also tend to think that even if someone got there first, it's not a reason to stop.
Just... It might look a bit like plagiarism. That's my biggest concern.

On the other hand, if I see someone digging for gold, there's nothing bad in taking same tools and digging for gold myself.

Make sure to focus especially on the things that are missing out in your eyes.

I can tell you that I'm one of those people buying multiple products on the same topic. For example, I bought 3 books about Zend Framework, a programming topic, and I could take something out of each of them.

Also, your style will be different and your product may just be the better alternative for some people who didn't get along with the other product.
