Farewell ProFollow auto responder

Got this email today:

"As you may already know, the email marketing service ProFollow is a privately branded version of AWeber. This Wednesday, March 30th, 2011, we will begin to transition all ProFollow accounts, including yours, over to a cobranded version of AWeber.

This will not affect your billing, and the features you will have access to will not change. There will only be three differences for you as a customer

1 - You will see the AWeber logo along with the ProFollow logo in your account, and log into your account at AWeber.com.

2 - You will be able to make use of AWeber's support directly - we have an extensive knowledge base and a series of webinars, all of which will be available to you as AWeber customers, in addition to the support you have already been receiving from our Solutions Team via email, chat, and phone.

3 - Over the next few months, you may need to replace some of the ProFollow features that you have installed on your website, such as web forms. You will have ample warning to make this change in time, and further instructions on what you need to do will be sent out as we begin this transition."

    It was bound to happen.

Things were/are running nice and smooth, so time to get in there and 'make it better'.

I can only imagine what kind of mess it's going to end up being...

    and yes, I use ProFollow.

Bad part is I dumped Aweber for ProFollow when they 'fixed' things up over there.

    Thanks,

    John

Is ProFollow still owned by Jeff Walker? I don't really understand why this change had to happen and yes I use Profollow as well. Never really had any complaints using it **Knock on Wood**

Not sure, but I always cringe when I hear how they are going to 'make it better'.

        I can hardly wait.

        Thanks,

        John

Profollow costs are cheap... aweber is costly. I am using profolow happily. Do you think my costs are going to go up?

      Depak,

No. I emailed AWeber yesterday. The price will remain the same and you will be rebilled at the price you are paying now.

I too got an answer from aweber. They said the pricing will not change. But does this mean that no one can sign up for this kind of pricing in the future? Then does it mean we are lucky?

The pricing changed at ProFollow at the end of last year. If you look at the PF pricing it is the same as AWeber, and has been for a few months.

So, to answer your question. Yes, we are lucky. I certainly prefer $179 for 10k subscribers over $193 for $500 subscribers.

Awesome. I never noticed the change in Profollow Pricing structure. It was $10 additional for every 10,000 leads. Now it is same as aweber

Anybody knows the reason behind this? It seems to me that Profollow is business as usual since they said "You will see the AWeber logo along with the ProFollow logo in your account".

Anyway, is it only Profollow or all private-label Awebers?

Also, anybody know other private-label Awebers which has not yet change prices?

Yes, I got this email yesterday. Don't think they have explained why they are doing this, but according to the email, prices won't be affected for people who are paying under $20 for 10k lists.

I see both profollow and Aweber logo on the main site. Do non profollow subscribers see that as well?
