Hi guys,

I'm going to launch my newest product in the next few month's but have some
trouble finding the best affiliate- / payment software to use.
I have a few points I would like to see:

-Top affiliates MUST love it
I see 1shoppingcart is often used right now.
But is it good?

-A decent payment processor with LOW processing cost.
I saw a few good one's but they cost between 5 & 10% of my sell price !!
Imagine a product that cost $500.
Then $50 is already gone to that company!
So if the commission was set to 50% I only have left 200%
I have to send out cheques to my affiliates which cost around $30 per cheque!!
Any suggestions?

-And I would like to know which software can be used for upsells without customers need to enter their creditcard information again, just like PPC Classroom did!

Anyone can help me out with this?

Cheers,

Dennis

1shoppingcart has had many problems over the years, but the nice thing is that it's a solid system and most affiliates are familiar with it.

If you're launching a digital product, honestly I recommend clickbank. If you're a new seller on CB, they would probably restrict you to a $200 max price though. But it would certainly solve your problem of having to send cheques to your affiliates.

As an affiliate, I like to promote products on CB because I know I'll get paid. As a vendor, I like selling products on CB because I don't have to handle any of the affiliate stuff.

you'd miss out on the ability to do one click upsells though...

    Hi eholmlund,

Thanks for your info but clickbank isn't an option.
This software product will have a higher price.
I'm already running a product thru clickbank which works fine but this isn't an option with this big software product I'm going to launch.

But again, thanks for your help.

    Hi Dennis,

1SC is a good option and they seem to have worked through most of their problems of the past and they've recently partnered with/been promoting PowerPay as their integrated/preferred merchant processor. PowerPay is good and has reasonable fees in line with industry standards.

As for the affiliate piece...if you want to do that separately and use any one of a bunch of availaable processors, take a look at Post Affiliate...reasonably priced, very solid and flexible.

You could also look at paydotcom.com which integrates the affiliate piece with PayPal as the processor. I can't speak from personal experience about that one though...ask folks around the forum here about it.

    Hope this helps!

    Abby

Oh...BTW...that 1 click upsell deal you mentioned I think is only currently available when using an authorize.net as the gateway for your processor (which PowerPay does). I have no idea how to make that work but am looking into it. I also saw it mentioned on a video for a guy named Jordan's new product called Turbo Continuity.

    Hi Dennis,

I would suggest Idev affiliate. The guy who wrote the software was actually the first one to write 'any' affiliate program and has refined it to run as smooth as silk. Plus there's no restrictions or monthly fee.

It costs $99.99 but you'll probably need to hire someone to install it. I think he may offer it for $50 or so.

You can check it out at http://freetoolsandtips.com/idev

    Good luck!

Idev affiliate is about the only solution that I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST!

I've been using various affiliate software solutions since 2001 and there is only one company that I had a horrible experience with and that was iDev ...

There is no need to bash the company with the sordid details in public, but I would encourage you to do a search of the forums here and in your favorite search engine to get a broad cross spectrum of opinions on their integrity and ethics ...
