Write about a topic you have a deep knowledge of and a strong interest in.

In other words, a topic you are qualified to be writing about and at the same time it will be enjoyable to write the article.

Break your article up into focused subtopics or steps depending on what you're writing about, and make a mini title for each subtopic. For example:

    How to get better abs

    Intro

    Crunches

Crunches are the most effective way to...

    Situps

    Situps are terrible because...

    Healthy Diet

There's no way you can see your abs unless...

This might be too broad of a topic, but you get the idea

Many are in this thread; many more important and valuable ones are scattered about in the incidental conversation in this thread.

But first and foremost, it depends on why you're writing an article: whether it's for syndication, traffic and/or backlinks, and in what proportion/priority those are objectives. Whether you're trying to get as many clicks as possible from one copy, or get the article circulated and re-published as widely as possible, and so on. What you write and how you write it will always depend on this. An article cannot be all things to all people.

Defining this, for oneself, and achieving clarity about it, is the single key concept that takes one away from "just trying a bit of everything as well as I can without quite knowing what I'm doing and exactly why" and toward "having a business plan" as an article marketer.

It's the thing that typically makes the difference between making a living and not making a living.

Personally, I write for syndication, and some of my own tips are in this post.

Focus on human interest ,pick a very hot topic that will attract more people to read it.

Keep your audience clearly in mind - what are their desires, what really matters to them?

Research- You would want to make sure that your articles are loaded with lots of useful information.

      Write using informative, conversational tone.

Making your articles sound too formal or too complicated is something that
      I will not recommend.

It's because online users hate complex articles that require too much of their time.

Here's what I do. Write the article for one person. Just imagine someone sitting across the table from you and you write the article like you are talking to them.

Here are 5 article marketing tips to consider. There are pros and cons on the 5th tip. It's wise to test your niche...Sometimes if you do not conclude your article you will get more CT from your bio.

          1. Start your first paragraph off with a thesis statement of what the article is going to be about. If you were to follow basic journalism methods, you could implement the who, what, why, when and where method. But more often then not in web articles, you will be stating a problem/solution method. Basically, you state a problem "How to write good articles for your website", and then follow with the solution "by giving a step-by-step guide on how to write quality articles".

          2. Use a point system. Before you start writing your article try to think about some points that your article is going to cover based on your beginning thesis (topic). Make sure that you write them down first before you develop your content, and while you are creating your content, use this point list as you go along.

          3. Give your reader a good comfort zone. Listen, article marketing does not require you to write like you are in a literary academy, you just need to be able to relate to your online readers like you would relate to someone that you are having a conversation with. Write them in a simple style, and if you have to explain a new term, make sure that you define what you are saying in an easy and understandable manner.

          4. Use short paragraphs. Use short paragraphs of about four or five sentences. Most readers do not like to read through big blocks of text no matter how well written the article is, so use a lot white space (space in between your short paragraphs) and simple paragraphs, this will make it much easier for your readers to read through your articles.

          5. Don't hesitate to tell it all! The more you reveal to your readers, the better. Why? Because the more information you give to your readers the more they will believe in your authority on the subject you are presenting. Many times readers will grow tired of all of the vague articles out on the internet that are just used to pull them into a site, for they want to know information, and if you can give them as much information as you can give, they will not only appreciate it, but will trust you as a professional and more often then not will continue to visit your site.

These five tips are very simple but not often followed by most online business owners. If you appropriately use these techniques, you will find that you have not only increased your traffic, but your reputation as an expert in your niche will most certainly be recognized by your online readers.
