Hey Astrellalopez; It was just article writing, but it was about 10 hours work in total, but I have alot of free time and night, and I just happened to LOVE writing, and I type real fast so it made sense for me. If you can write, just bid on jobs that suit your skills, you have to start somewhere.

I didn't take it that seriously until I was hired out of 8 other proposals, that alone gave me confidence (and a little nervous) as the client is a well know trainer, so I really wanted to over deliver.....and that was with a FREE subscription, so I went for the $10 a month so I could submit more bids....I'm just pumped!

Congratulations on making your first $250, Terri. As I've always stated in this forum, offering services is probably the fastest and easiest way of initially making some money in the IM arena. It'll also provide you with both the confidence and experience to venture into other areas of IM too, so in my opinion it's a great way to get started, especially for someone who is cash-strapped (while IM may be relatively inexpensive, you'll still have to invest in certain resources to get started the right way, like it or not - and you'll definitely need some money to scale up as well).

I agree with you 100%....its gets you through the lean times, or while you're building your other income sources, and it does indeed build confidence and experience. I can see it actually being a primary income source as well when you're doing jobs for $250 - $500 - it starts to add up.

Congratulations Terri, it is nice to hear that you've made some real money
after two years of information overload. Actually, information overload
is our worst enemy online.

I also made my first real online money from a freelance job (research related).
It feels really good when you can turn your skills into profit.

And it is also great realizing how much people are willing to pay you for some
easy (for you) tasks that would take them ages to figure out.

Hi Finally Free;

No, its kind of hard to admit when you put so much work into them, but I'm working on driving traffic to them, converting visits to sales, etc. I have no doubt that will come though, and I have just been certified this past weekend as a coach practitioner, so I plan to have my own authority site......

  I went in a few times and saw people asking for articles for $3.00 a piece. Not even worth bidding on that - I have paid that $3.00 and gotten very BAD articles. Hi Oscar, it was through Article marketing......I wrote 11 articles/sales pages and then I had to "tweak them" to customize for 2 different cities - so 11 articles...22 tweaked for about 8 - 10 hours total.

Through Elance, they pay you via check, bank transfer or Paypal.....you can have more than one method, but I chose Paypal.....(quicker)

Hi there Andrea.....I`d like to think I`m really good, and the truth is, anyone can do this if you have those skills, others have skills that I don`t. There are small and large tasks....he had a budget of $500 but there were 8 proposals so for my very 1st job, I did give him a good deal. Yes, onwards and upwards!

But to be clear, I wrote 11 original articles and then I tweaked them for 2 different cities to motivate potential clients in the surrounding areas to visit this person`s fitness center and gym., so 33 in total (only the 22 that were tweaked took no time at all - I looked at maps to determine the distance and what highway to take to tour the facility)

Hi BizSEO;

It`s funny because I wasn`t even taking it that seriously. but he wrote me back and asked me a couple of questions and was satisfied with the answer and next thing I knew, Elance sent an email saying Congrats, the client has put the $$$ in Escrow for me.

I saw the ones for $3 for articles, I am just very picky with my searches, and now I paid the monthly fee to have more options and more ``connects``

OK, now I`m just blushing........I just want to encourage those that might be lurking or sitting on the sidelines to just dive in....its ok to mess up and be nervous. Although confident in my work, it wasn`t until the money was released that I realized I did good and then the client left me POSITIVE feed back this morning. That`s a great spring board and I just want others who KNOW they are meant to be online to hang in there and yes, TAKE ACTION.¸

Thanks Zena; I think I would do the same thing - outsourcing - if I were busy with other tasks on my sites, but since I am still just building my sites, driving traffic and working on my ebook, I like to be the outsourcee so-to-speak in the meantime....Luckily for me, patience is one of my stronger virtues.
