Hi fellow Warriors,

Today I got an email from http://www.ygnetworkltd.com, telling me:

Dear Manager:

This email is from China domain name registration center, which mainly deal with the domain name registration and dispute internationally in China and Asia.
On March 31st 2011, We received HAITONG company's application that they are registering the name "getridofspiderveins" as their Internet Keyword and "getridofspiderveins .cn"、"getridofspiderveins.com.cn " 、"getridofspiderveins.asia" domain names etc.., It is China and ASIA domain names. But after auditing we found the brand name been used by your company. As the domain name registrar in China, it is our duty to notice you, so I am sending you this Email to check. According to the principle in China, your company is the owner of the trademark, In our auditing time we can keep the domain names safe for you firstly, but our audit period is limited, if you object the third party application these domain names and need to protect the brand in china and Asia by yourself, please let the responsible officer contact us as soon as possible. Thank you!

Best regards,

John

Anyway, Get rid of spider veins being one of my niche websites, this is of interest to me. But I've lost a lot of money to Chinese scammers already. So I want to ask you guys: is this for real? Has anybody got any experience with all this?

Their site looks real, but that still might be fishy.

So please, enlighten me!

Yours, warriorly,

Mormel

Complete LIES. They send these emails out in the millions to every domain owner they can find. They are nothing but bottom dwellers. SCAM. They've been doing this for years.

These are total scammers. Some of my clients responded to the emails and these guys quoting back with skyhigh domain registration charges.

    Just ignore them.

I don't know of many "Johnys" in China...I got the exact same email and laughed. It's just another scam to try and scare you into taking the bait. I am glad people responded quick so folks here don't actually take these people seriously.
