How to install wordpress on godaddy Help Plz

Ok Im lost there were the instructions is recieved to install wordpress on a godaddy domain ( im trying to start a CPA site )

"When you're done creating your hosting account and registering your domain
name, you need to install Wordpress. This task is very, very easy. Simply go to
your Control Panel (on your hosting account) and look for an icon called
"Fantastic". Click on that icon and look for "Wordpress". Then fill out the forms
and install Wordpress. That's it"

There is no fantastic icon, so wtf, this is so frustrating, can someone please help me. As you can tell im new and im trying to get this site set up after ive now spent money on hosting, the domain name and the WSO on how to do it.

Any help is greatly appricuated,

- Max

NOT MY VIDEO, It's Jeff Johnson, I think many of you know who he is.

If the button isn't there, then you may need to manually install wordpress. To do that, you need to create a mySQL database, then upload the files from wordpress.org. If all that makes no sense, then you can contact your web hosting company and they will help you install wordpress.

    Hope that helps.

I personally wouldn't host it there on godaddy. There are issues there with controlling sites.

Buy your domains there, but not your hosting if you can manage it. JMO

Wordpress and GoDaddy hosting are very widely reported (by the forum's resident Wordpress experts) "not to mix". There have certainly been hundreds of threads representing the position that way, anyway.

I don't know if GD has improved their hosting interface over
the years. But I moved away from them a very long time ago
    for that and other reasons.

Also, considering the things they do in other areas, I don't
    deal with them at all.

I have one lone domain name I registered with them years ago.
Now, I'll be transferring that to NC since they're offering 4.99
transfers and registration for a year. Part of the proceeds will
go to an organization, Save the Elephants. It's not a matter of
saving some money, it's more a desire to avoid giving my money
to someone who uses it to travel to distant lands and engage in
    that kind of activity.

Sorry to stray from the topic. Just responding to wider issues
    regarding GD.

    I recommend Hostgator and Namecheap.

I don't know why but for as long as I've been a member
of this forum there seems to have been a sort of institutional
    bias against Go Daddy.

All I know is I've registered lots of domains with them, hosted
dozens of sites with them, including WP sites, and have never
experienced a single problem with them.

The truth is I think they may have the best customer service
I've ever experienced with any type of company.

So... take that for whatever it's worth to you...

Thanks for everyones help, I was able to install wordpress on go daddy, now my next dillemma is that this book im folling is outdated.

I am trying to implement a CPA website and link use twitter advertising to drive traffic. However this is what I am up to

"Now, you need to buy the script that will set up your website with the mumbly
jumbly games. It costs only $297... just kidding ... the script is very cheap
and you can purchase it here (add www) warriorforum.com/warrior-specialoffers-forum/188037-cpa-fun-lots-lots-cash.htmlfor only $7.

      When you

download the ZIP file with the script you will find a TXT file with instructions that

will show you exactly how to install the script. Simply follow those instructions
and you should finish everything in few minutes. However, if you need
assistance you may contact the marketer who owns the script or send me an
      email.
When you finish the installation you need to choose the offers that you are

      going to promote."

The problem is that link is no longer available, I really need another option, anyone have any ideas?

After i put a quiz/game on the site I was going to link the winners to a CPA email entry or somehting of that sort.

I also had planned to use this method to drive traffic

      Driving traffic

Now, I'm going to show you how to drive traffic to your website. We are going to
use a paid source of traffic. But don't worry, I'm not talking about PPC or PPV,
you don't need to have a lot of money to get started. Actually, only $15 should
be enough to launch your first campaign.
We are going to get traffic from Twitter, but fast traffic, so you don't need to
create your own Twitter profiles and start looking for followers. We are going to
use the Magpie Twitter Advertising Network. This is a great place to send some
fast and good traffic to your websites.
Click here be-a-magpie.com/ and create an advertiser account at
Magpie. You will need to have a Paypal account to buy credits for your
campaigns. If you don't have a Paypal account

and create one for free. The minimum deposit is €10
(less than $15). This amount should be enough to get started.

anyone have any advice on all this??

      It would be very appriciated!

      Thanks

Ive got that quiz script. I had the same problem but a Warrior gave me the script. Just give me your email address and i'll send it to you.

btw, i don't think using paid traffic would be effective for this method because a lot of visitors will probably close the window before they even finish the quiz because it's a bit long winded and it goes to the offer after the quiz is completed.

    Ask for a refund.

A product requiring you to purchase another product to make the first product work ( if you haven't been informed of the additional purchases you need to make ) is deceiving and unethical in my opinion.

The product you purchased is essentially worthless. If it was a WSO, report it to the admins so they are aware of the problem and pull the product.

    Aside from that, I dunno.

I was able to set up a WP site, as a total newb, using GD. They actually have a button to push to set up WordPress, can't get easier than that. Then, you go into your WP admin and you can manage your site from there. You don't have to mess with GD back office/cpanel/or whatever, just do everything through WP.

I'm actually considering what type of GD hosting account I'll get next, because I got the simple economy site for my first WP site. But, now I've bought a couple more domains I'd like to get up, and I'd like to try my hand at an idea I got off this awesome forum.

You are in for a whole lot of hurt if you persist in hosting with
Godaddy. I'm just saying. Bite the bullet now before you get
too far in. Get some good shared hosting on a Linux server.
If you are new. cPanel is a good way to start. If you don't
feel the pain now, you will feel it later. Setting up a website
    shouldn't be that hard.

You could create video's on YouTube and other video sites then put a link in the description. As people goto YouTube mainly for entertainment, a link to a quiz would probably work well.
