I'm trying to find the true host of a server i.e. the company behind a hosting account.

A fellow Warrior is continuing to spam me in spite of several emails telling him to stop and he's now hiding behind servers in his own (Warrior) name. Doing a Betterwhois search is simply showing his domain name being hosted by that domain. I believe that's just a case of white label servers and I want to find the real company who owns the servers; Can you help please?

Whether is is a WF member or not really isn't relevant. Have you tried unsubscribing or are you just sending emails to him or replying back to these emails that you are receiving?

I know that I've had people become irate with me and become rude and abusive because they were on my list when all they needed to do was unsub.

View the headers of the e-mails to see if there are any
clues to the hosting company for the server.

You can also use a free software program such as IPNetInfo
to find more clues on the IP address and hosting company:

Finding which Web hosting company hosts a Web site (no affil.)

Try typing in the domain name and/or IP address into the
IPNetInfo utility and you may find the hosting company.

Alternatively, change the IP address in the URL below
to get more details on a particular server IP address:

      http://whois.arin.net/rest/nets;q=17...showARIN=false (no affil.)

      I hope this helps you.

      Dedicated to mutual success,

Thanks Shaun, I can't believe I forgot to do that!

I've now tracked his server supplier down.

Yes, I tried unsubscribing on the few emails he sent which complied with the Can-Spam Act and actually had an unsubscribe link. On other occaisions I emailed him - and yes, politely - asking him to remove me. Finally he sent a response telling me he'd not only removed me from all his lists but that he'd placed me on his "banned buyers list" LOL.

Since then he's sent another 2 emails. The latest is where his being a Warrior is relevant, because he's pushing a WSO.
