PayPal vs. AmEx Serve

Has anyone used Serve?

I love American Express. They're always on top of things.

Clearly, American Express is targeting PayPal's market share.

To put money into a Serve account, it costs 2.9% + 30 cents per load, discounted to 0% for cash, debit and ACH ("automated clearing house") funds transfer. For the first 6 months, it's free.

To get cash out of an ATM, you pay $0 the first time per month, and $2 per transaction every time after that. There are no fees to make peer-to-peer transactions.

I'm looking to completely rid of PayPal in exchange for Serve and am wondering if anyone else has done the same thing. Thoughts?

Never heard/read of them, so just imagine what will your ideal customers think once they're in checkout time! Paypal is the Mercedes of the checkout experience, I won't throw a "Fiat" (even if it's a fine comparison) at your customers. I'll personally stick with paypal, even more if it's a niche outside of the "make money" market no matter if there's the need to pay the additional dollar in fees. Test it and perhaps bring some results here?

    My hots cents thrown

Google could have/should have gone this route. It would have worked perfectly with Google Checkout.
