Blogs vs Pages in Wordpress

I'm looking to take one of my Wordpress blogs and turn it into an "authority site". I have over 100 Ezinearticles in this particular niche that I would like to now add to my own blog.

Does it make a difference whether I post these articles as blog posts or as pages, in terms of SEO?

Thanks!

Using both in a calculated manner may be best.

Well, Brian's suggestion to get some insight from that article is appreciable. But if you're concerned about the Keyword Density affected with the number of comments, you can simply turn off the "Allow Comments" option for that particular post.

In my understanding, as far as ranking is concerned, it doesn't really matter whether you make a post or create a page. It mostly depends on on-page and off-page optimization.

I personally upload all my articles as invisible pages. Meaning they are accessible by the search engine spiders for availability through natural search results but are not accessible through any link in my blog

For SEO purposes on each individual article, no. Google (and other search engines) will see a post and a page as the same. Depending on your permalink structure each post/page will have it's own url: yoursite.com/post-page-title.

For a post though, you can place posts in different categories and add tags to each one. This can add additional category/tag pages to your site which increases the amount of web space the site takes up.

Also by default every post is added to the site's RSS feed which can help your site get noticed if the feed gets syndicated. (There are plugins available to add Pages to the feed as well)

If I were you, I would add majority of them as posts and then just have the real major ones under pages. Make sure you do good categories as-well.

    Both is a good practice!
