Well, if it's got a great design or a great domain name then you may have something. So list the strengths and weaknesses of the site and then try to capitalise on its strengths.

you could list them on webmaster forums, buy sell websites like sedo.com, flippa.com etc.

its best to get some traffic and revenue before you sell them, then you get a better price.

Simple answer to your question is getting them up on flipper, write good sales copy which focuses on the potential of your sites. For example I sold a stock and options site which was newly built with no traffic because someone understood the potential of the site.

There are many times that we pay good money because we have been convinced by the sales copy.

However unless you are desperate, it may be better to do some backlinking to get some traffic and sales going before you sell.

If its good keywords then I would be more interested in the domain name than its content.

I use to design and flip "service" websites at Flippa all the time! You find a service and build the website around it. Like for example, Sell Backlinks. You find the outsource, build the site, and sell it to someone at flippa who is too lazy to make their own. People will buy turnkey sites at an instant.

Pitch it in a way that let's the buyer see " POTENTIAL" enough said, however, don't rush this concept, its all about that "Squeeze page" lol

You could list it on Flippa. The key is that your product is unique.

If they have a good design, good keyword domain, a register period of more than 1 year than i think you can sell them at 20-30$ /site.

get a review done in some forum, like WF.

remember people are not buying junks from anyone.

remember this: what are you offering in values in exchange for x dollars

You probably could sell it if it has the potential to make money if it did get traffic.

In some degree, it all depends on how much you can persuade people to believe your website will bring profit to them. The greater the potential, the higher the price will be. And the best place to try is Flippa.

It can be done but be as transparent as possible with potential buyers. Make them see the site's real value.

It's all in how you market it.
    • Emphasize the strengths.
    • Turn the "weaknesses" into strengths. For example: If the site only has a few backlinks, it may be beneficial to point out that the potential is there for someone who is good at building backlinks could vastly improve the site with minimal work. Potential doesn't sell a site if the prospective buyer can't see it.
    • Explain why you are selling the site; need the money, don't have time to develop it, doesn't fit well into your "specialty"/niche, etc.
    • Hype is fine, but over hype is not.
    • Be honest and straight forward. Most people can smell a rat. I'm not suggesting anything here; I'm just making a general statement.
    • Consider well timed upgrades if using flippa.
Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Personally I would not sell it just yet, if you believe it has potential (and it must if it is going to sell) then maximise that potential and build the sites up. They fetch ALOT more with abit of traffic and revenue.

If not then make sure you get a good sales copy and emphasize the potential the websites have.

Goodluck and let us know how it all goes.

    Try Flippa definately..

But it all depends on the niche your sites are in. Throw in some free stuff or services to bump up their values and it might just attract some buyers. Good Luck on your sales!

Change your whole concept of what you're selling. Trained monkeys can upload websites. You don't want to sell a website. You have an online business for sale. You don't need traffic, you need customers, buyers that make sales.

Tons of traffic that never buy anything brings your Page Rank DOWN because that tells Google your site must boring with nothing anyone wants to buy or you would have sales to show for it. Target your visitors by handing out flyers in person or go to fiverr and find buyers who want to try your product using a discount code.

Before you even do all that, first you need to put an article there with proper title tags, H1 - H5 tags, images with alt tags, use bold and italics and contextual links that go out to information in WIKI or how stuff works.

You link out to PR8 and above because you want to help your readers not send them to product review site with Amazon affiliate codes on it. Make sure those links are on the side where they don't count anyway. Think like a customers and what would help you the most. What would make you smile and do that. Money will follow if you don't chase it down...

This is a FREE website teaching people how to build a website. Why is it free? createawebsite1-2-3.com/ The site owner wants to help but he's a Marketer talking about money. PR ZERO with 38 visitors daily says Google is not buying the act because that's what it looks like.

It doesn't look that way to me but I can think, Google can't and that's what you have to remember. SEO is a small part of what has to happen now that Google grew some brains.

I think Bravenet.com is still PR8 so go there, open an account FREE and check out their tools and you've got a natural back link that counts because they do. This site: bingbong.com has almost no traffic but it's still a PR2

This one: Boing Boing is worth $1,000,960 with 470,000 unique visits daily and PR8 abut how could that be? It's not .com so how did that happen? PEOPLE don't care about .net or .com they just want to find what they want without a hassle.

I do this all the time. Sell a domain or even a website with absolutely no traffic. You will be surprised that potential buyers are seeking brand new domains and websites as they can start a fresh new project with your domain. Sites that have traffic tend to sell for a much higher asking price and in my experience unless you spend quite a bit on advertising to sell your website you will not find a genuine buyer.

You can list them on Flippa with all the other startups with no traffic and revenue, but unless the site has some serious other assets, I wouldn't expect a high price.

If the site have a prior history of success, you can make a case
for it. If the site has a good domain and potential, again, you
can make a good case for it. Finding the right buyer for the site
is the key for this type of site. You may not do that at a flipping
    mill.

You want to sell dream and hope to potential customers who buy your website.

How does your site may potentially help them to achieve what they want.

Most of them want time and financial freedom. Focus on that and your site may sell at a higher price

Sell the sizzle, not the steak.

Honestly... I would hold off trying to sell the site. Unless you need the $$$
right away, go for it. However, I highly suggest for you to invest in yourself
and find information you can buy here at the forum that pertains to flipping/
selling sites. If buying domains and creating websites to resell like hotcakes
is that easy, I'm sure more people would be doing it profitably. You do your-
self a great injustice by just winging it. Get some good information to educate
yourself that will reduce your mistakes and learning curve. One's worth is only
as much as their education and experience governs them.

Educate yourself and increase your worth. You can cheat experience by
    buying it. (information) LOL!

I have a theory as I have sold a few website taht have literally no traffic.

The more you tell, the more your sell. I have tested it a few times, and that seems to be it. Give them benefits all the way, and you will be able to sell a site in a jiffy.

Sell it as a 'turnkey' site. However, you must optimize your site with adsense and affiliate products and then pitch it as a potential turnkey sites.

If you have a good domain, is an auto blog, aged, you can get $150+ per site...Other wise, maybe $70+.....

If you have the time, I suggest building them up first before selling....
