What do yo use for Email Marketing?

Hi,

I'm curious what everybody is using for Email Marketing. I'm more interested in install-on-server solutions; not like aweber.

I know there are a few open-source email marketing out there, though I figure I'd ask

Thanks!

    Oh man... I would never host my biggest asset on my own server...

    Because if the damn script goes wrong or the murphy's law strikes I want to have professional people to fix it asap

    Do I 100% trust aweber... no that's why I'm doing a lot of backups just in case.

    But do i trust aweber more than me? YES! lol

    Anyways I think you got my point

    Cheers

      I like Aweber and the are offering a promotion now for $1 for one month and they have great customer service.

        I understand the guarantee with aweber, though they still cost money and I already have an entire infrastructure in a data center.

        Basically my infrastructure is as reliable as aweber. Everything is redundant and backed up, I wouldn't have my business on a small server that could go down any minute

        ... I'm not bashing on Aweber, actually they might be the way I go however I want to see what else everybody is using.

        What do your emails come out of

    I always hear good things about aweber but it is obviously a cost you have to factor into your cashflow.

    I use Aweber and my wife uses icontact they both work great even though I tend to lean towards Aweber and I know that they cost money but I look at it as a cost of doing business. I am not saying that this is your case but most people want to start an online business without any investment and that is just m=not going to happen, and I would venture to say that having a good auto responder is top priority. This is just my opinion. Hope this helps.

      How come the switch? Should I look at iContact instead?

    It does help thanks!

    By purchasing 1 account can you send out blasts from several different domain names. If so how does it work, do you need to change your DNS settings?

    Example:

    1. account
    2. web1.com -> list1
    3. web2.com -> list2
    4. web2.com -> list3

    if I do a blast from any list will it send it as my webX.com email address or something else?

    Thanks I hope I made sense
