Yes, you needn't buy an ebook. Ebooks are in this forum, just explore and learn. And you can learn a lot from other money making websites/blogs, such as comluv.com, iblogzone.com, methods2earn.com, etc.

I'm not sure that I agree with that. Yes, there a lot of information on these, most very good, but lots of it is inaccurate, low value, some pure myth, lots is pure opinion and even some BS.

Perhaps more importantly - as I found out after wasting a lot of time in my first year trying to educate myself on the cheap via forums etc - trying to learn in this way is a very un-structured method of learning, bordering on lunacy.

It's much better to invest in your education and future by buying an ebook or course and benefiting from a more precise and organized approach.

The first time I really made any significant money online was after buying an ebook about squidoo - 8 hours work later I was making money, money that continues to this day. And I can think of several other times I've had similar experiences.

You don't need to spend money to make money a real nice quick easy way to get good traffic to your blog or website is by using twitter and following people that have to do with your niche for example I had a niche on magic so I want on twitter and I found a guy who sells magic tricks that a lot of people like I followed a lot of the people he was following and about half of those people followed me back and a lot of them just click your link you have on your profile its a good way to get targeted traffic

The last poster is right you don't need to spend money to make money but it does make it a lot quicker and easier and you are a lot more likely to succeed if you have the proper guidance. Wealthy affiliate is who taught me to be a profitable Internet marketer and they have successfully taught hundreds if not thousands of others to succeed online - although they are a little pricy. If you can added it go with them - but go with the $47 option instead of the $97 because you will never use the little extra things they five you for the extra $50 a month.

If you can't afford that I recommend just finding a cheap snook that will show you the ropes. There's a lot of crap out there though so if you do this make sure you do your research. Learn about keywords, keyword research, Seo, using wordpress and start with a small targeted niche and you will learn a lot!

      Hope that helps.

Find a beginner-friendly system that generates cash quickly (just a few bucks coming in makes a BIG difference to your motivation).

It's a lot easier to learn the craft whilst you're earning from it, too many people struggle to make any money and eventually give up because the 'learning' part comes before the 'earning' part. It doesn't have to, do your research

    Hi there,

I'd always recommend to start creating WordPress blogs.

In the process, you'll learn keyword research, SEO, content generation, monetization, traffic generation etc.

I'd also suggest finding a mentor or attend a local IM seminar/course to BE with the like-minded so that you can pool resources, learn and earn together.

While there is a lot of great information for the asking here on the main forum, the War Room will provide you with a lifetime worth of information. Depending upon what direction you have decided to start, you should be able to find resources in there that can get you moving in the right direction.

The first product that I ever bought that actually helped me to make money online is available for the taking inside that very room. Wish I had know that at the time but you know what they say about hindsight...

      Good luck!

If you are new to internet marketing be sure to find a program that offers a system. No one thing on the internet makes you a lot of money on the internet, its a compilation of different things put together.Don't join affiliate programs that don't have a marketing system.Listen to those who are actually doing it.Look at the reviews before you act.Just my two sense....

I can't help think, as I re-read through this thread, that it proves my point that structured learning through a good course or ebook is a much better way to go.

I don't mean to denigrate any of the individual posters but look at the variety of ideas and opinion offered, mixed with a fair degree of indirect advertising via people's sigs.

How on earth are you going to to be able to profit well from so much diverse, and sometimes tainted advice?

I suggest you will end up wasting a lot! of the most valuable commodity we all have - our irreplaceable time, and end up confused and disappointed.

Let me make three recommendations of great training bases to put you on the path for success without distraction or confusion.

        1) Chris Farrel Membership - about $36 a month

        2) Wealth Affiliate - about the same

Both very good - maybe a bit above newbie level though.

Or my own at $9 a month - very basic (ie newbie) level but you WILL learn, and you can make money if you wish from it. I call it the Internet 101. After you're making money graduate to one of the two above.

Ebooks are well and good but you can find yourself spending too much. Explore the forum, get a handle on all of the things you can do and pick one think to work on. If you absolutely must get yourself an ebook then only buy the books you need to accomplish your plan. No more, no less

Begin with a ebook or ecourse geared specifically for beginners. There are too many to mention them all, but do a simple search and you will find names of quite a few different ones. Look through the sales page and then come here and do a search on the book you are considering. There is usually at least a couple of threads discussing it, although some may be a few years old. Then make a decision to purchase ONE. Just ONE.

Now after you get that book and you start studying/applying the method/technique come here and ask questions or use the search function to find threads concerning your question.

Most newbie friendly books are going to show you a lot of free methods to use to generate income. Free methods take time to mature and develop. Just keep working the method and asking questions until you see results. In the process you will gain more knowledge than you ever dreamed.

    Hello snakeyes:

I am gonna give you what I feel is "the way" to make money. I also, predict that Andy Fletcher will be one of the big players that people will look up to in a few years.

Note:It is funny because I thought he was older, and, already up in the echelon of marketers.

    Hi Nick,

Welcome and thank you for posting this thread.

When I first started IM I quickly got overwhelmed with info. What I'd suggest is to find something you are drawn to and go deep into it... then expand from there. Perhaps setting up a content site and putting AdSense on it could be the quickest way to start seeing some results, but definitely follow where you feel drawn to in the IM world.

    Hope that helps.

    David.

Well, after many days of reading tons of different threads on WF I'm still not really sure where to begin. Two options have stuck in my head, affiliate marketing and creating a product.

I've read that affiliate marketing is the best option for a newbie when just beginning. However one problem (more of an annoyance really) is prevelent

Commission, its farely small. I've read a few threads where someone was making $150 a month with Amazon, just seems really low to me for an entire month. Of course this could be resolved with multiple websites but that means individual domains and hosting for each and every niche I would be promoting. I can imagine that would become rather pricey.

I do have one question regarding affiliation with Amazon, someone mentioned that it takes them 60 days or so to pay you, is this true?

Second option is creating a product and selling it on a website or blog. It sounds really good but the only problem for me unfortunately is that I'm not really creative and I can imagine myself having a difficult time pulling it off.

I know there's many other methods besides the two that I've listed, perhaps some members with more knowledge then myself can chime in on them?

      Thank you.
      Nick
