Gd Star Rating has just broke my site! help needed

Ok, I installed GD Star Rating, it had lots of good reviews, so I thought it would be ok.

I've been working on a site for a while now, and just after installing the plugin, I'm getting this nonsense when I try to log into my wp-admin

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home2/bigbicep/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/gd-star-rating/code/adm/db.php on line 1423

wtf?

can someone tell me how to rectify this?

GD Star Rating gets a -10 from me.

Have you tried deactivating the plugin?

You might just have a conflict between plugins. Not all plugins are compatible with each other, they're all just compatible with WP.

You should be able to log in to your site with ftp - navigate to the plugins folder and delete it. If that works, you're good to go.

If not, if you don't have a backup, you can ask your host to restore their backup. But, you'd have to move quickly because most hosting companies overwrite backups.

Great point -- the OP has a lot to think about...
