Outsource Task or Hire VA

I am trying to outsource some basic tasks. Is it better to out source tasks (fixed amount per task) or hire VA.

Type of task I am thinking about

1. Create Youtube, Tweeter, Facebook accounts
2. Back link building
3. Creating youtube videos
4. Blog commenting etc

Also is it better to outsource each task to different person?

Thanks

You have to do a cost benefit analysis on this. How often are you going to require these tasks? If it's going to be on a regular basis then it's best just to have a virutal assistant. I pay my VA $200 a month and he handles a lot of emails, marketing, youtube messages, niche forums, etc . . . basically the stuff everyone hates.

However when it comes to backlinks, a trick that has worked for me in the past is to post a job.. the hire 5 people :-) You can get a lot of backlinking done across multiple niches that way!

I'm a fan of VA's though, I communicate with mine every monday/wed/friday on skype. Makes life so much easier.

Does it hurt if most of your backlinks come from the same IP address???

No. Unless you're creating multiple profiles on the same site.

Think about it, how many sites are you currently a member of? :p

I find contracting individual contractors who specialize in the specific task is best and then have a VA or better known as "Online Business Manager" oversee that the work is being done in a timely manner and that is is ready for review. My OBMs are like orchestrators.

That's an interesting concept. I'm curious to know if you have synergy amongst everyone on your team?

having a VA is a long term investment, I would start with fiverr.com.

Eventually when you have high volume and a need for one person, then you employ a VA, you can find one at VA300.com.

It is always best to hire specialists in my experience.

    Good luck

VA is better option for me. I like to hire VA, once they are familiar with you they can do much more thing for you. If outsourcing task by task, every time you need to explain to the guy your expectation, it is kind of troublesome for me

My situation may be different than yours though, because I have two offline businesses.

I have 2 part time VAs working for me, who are located in the Philippines.

Occasionally, I will still hire other freelancers to assist them or to complete specific projects.

Outsourcing is a nice idea if you have money to pay for your employee. Just try.

A good idea would be to test the skills of VA on small trial works before hiring him as your VA for long term. Thanks.
