NEED ADVICE - Monetizing my website

Hello everyone,

1 month ago I created a blog with an exact match .COM domain for a keyword that gets 3,600 exact monthly searches. I have done ZERO backlinking to this site, so my site isn't on page 1 for any keywords yet.

However, I highly optimize all my images and my blog is getting 80-100 visitors daily just from Google Image searches. From these 80-100 visitors, I am getting roughly 15 hop link clicks a day, but absolutely no order form conversions.

I am thinking this is because a lot of my images have my AFF link in them, so users click on the image expecting to see a larger image, but instead unwillingly get redirected to my AFF link.

I tried adsense and these keywords are low CPC so it's only making roughly 4 cents/day.

Anyone have any ideas on how to turn some of these ~3000 monthly visitors into sales? Should I instead remove the AFF links from my images and make a sticky post at the top of my blog telling a little bit about the product?

Any help is much appreciated. After I get a few sales I can hire someone to get me on the first page for my main keywords.

You can analyze the keywords that your visitors are typing in the search box and write a good article about it. Then, go to Google Adword tool and find related keywords that pay high CPC. Write articles on these related keywords and place the adsense code on top of the fold.

As you suggest yourself, I would remove the affiliate links from your images. The people who are only looking for pictures are not that targeted traffic you're after anyway, so it's unlikely they would buy anyway.

Have you optimized your site for your keywords, other than the pictures? If not, do that too. I would also build some backlinks using article directories plus Squidoo and HubPages.

It may take several months to make your first sales, so don't give up! For me, it takes at least a couple of months for any new "project" of mine to start making money.

      Cheers,

      Satu

The traffic you have right now isn't very targeted.

If you want your traffic to convert it needs to be targeted traffic, so either get your site ranked for keywords or start building traffic with traditional methods like article and video marketing.

If people are searching for the images only, you might try offering image packs or links to more images like you have posted where they can buy them (or create your own image packs). You might put a watermark on your images but offer a high quality version for $2 or so.
