Hi, Warriors from India, could you please help me?

Hi Warriors from India,

Well, I am a newbie in Internet Marketing. I have this doubt that if I am setting up website(s) / blog(s) and make money out of it (them), without registering as a firm, is there any legal problems here in India? I mean, if I am operating myself, with no employees?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards,
Sreejish

    Hi Sreejish,

I am from India too. Why not join my forum Crazy Bulletin (Crazy Bulletin • Index page) for newbies. Everything is free over there.

You don't need to register as a company to make money from websites. You will have to disclose the income in your tax statement though.

    All the best.

    Thanks xtrapunch.

So, just to confirm, If I am disclosing my income in my tax statement, there won't be any legal complications. Right?

Does the law regarding running a web site comes under cyber law?

      Hi,
Don't worry you can do it alone as suggested by fellow Warriors. If you are promoting Clickbank products then you will get your affiliate commission by check. This check you have to deposite in your Indian bank account. So, it is all legal. At clickbank you can have direct depossite option also. When your income will increase you can take advice of CA. You can use Paypal also which is now following RBI regulations. So, Don't worry, concentrate on your business.

    Hi Pradeep,

Thanks a lot. But, I always have a problem with my paypal payment.

Earlier, before me entering the IM arena, I was able to pay using paypal - as I once used to pay for a chess web site.

But, now, I cannot do the same - because Bobcards (Credit card of Bank of Baroda) - they are not allowing to disclose my cvv number which paypal co. asks when I try to make a payment through paypal.

I sent two emails to paypal regarding the same. When I called the Bobcards, they told me that they were following RBI rules. I was strongly tempted to buy many warrior and other products - but I can't do the same because of this problem.

So, do you have this problem with paypal? Only Bobcards have this issues?

    Thanks a lot,

    Sreejish

As per my knowledge and experience once you provieded your credit card inforamtion at your Paypal account, Paypal authenticate it and after that you don't have to enter your cvv no. for every purchase. You can purchase smoothly. I am using ICICI silver credit card since three years and I have no problem till date. I don't know about Bobcards rule. You can try ICICI credit card. Just make sure that this card should be OK for internationl transactions. I think you might get benefited from this inforamtion.

Just link and confirm your bank account or credit card to prevent this in future.

    Good Luck

Sreejish- thanks for raising these issues, because of these i also got important information. I am also from India. I have blogs but not started earning anything till date. There would not be any problem for you from tax point of view, as long as you disclose your income when you get it.

    Hi,

As long as you earn decent amount, there still not worry. But in the case the income from site/ blog is high, my suggestion is to show in Income Tax Return with expenses also if you incurred during the Internet promotion.

Yes in India Cyber Law control.

As far as Paypal is confirmed In india you can also get verified by using your Indian Bank Account. But due to recent changes in paypal policy (Guidelines by RBI) Paypal may not be a n suitable option now. Since now you can not use Paypal Balance for any transaction. You need to have Credit Card only to use with them. Any now a days Banks in India are going with VBV/ MasterCard 3D Secure System which paypal is not using, so an another blow on the system.

As of know the payment option available to Indians are Alertpay & Monybookers.

Those who want to have Credit Card to be used in different website, still have 2 options available. If you want you can message me or contact me.

    Thanks & Regards

Hello I am from India and I too have a Bobcard credit card. I am having trouble paying through paypal or google checkout. Both google checkout and paypal is not able to verify my card and they decline it. When i called the customer care number for bobcard they said that an authentication code is necessary but google checkout and paypal does not asks me for that authentication code I dont know where to give that code.

Is that authentication code is Verified by visa code? Does anyone has same problem like this? Please help me

No idea about BoBCard however, you can opt for an ICICI bank credit card with a fixed deposit. It's almost instant (well, took me 7 days for activation but got everything instantly). Depending on the fixed deposit amount, you can get a 80-85% credit limit.

Once you have some transaction history, you can always opt for the normal credit card. I personally started with the ICICI bank's CC and had no problems (touchwood) with PP as such.

As far as doing business from India goes, there are no problems at all! You have to declare your income and pay the appropriate taxes (personal, corporate, etc - whichever applies).
