Hey guys. I was just wondering if Amazon is the only affiliate program that offers it's affiliates commissions on all products that a person buys after going to Amazon through your affiliate links or do other companies do it as well. I mean obviously an affiliate program such as Clickbank can't do that but do other affiliate programs for companies do that as well?

Yes but many will do it through third party services like Commission Junction, ShareASale

You can find plenty of companies out there that pay you commissions for everything your referral buys (form pets stores to sites selling cosmetics). But, as Brian pointed above, most of them work with affiliate networks.

I promote products from some of those sites and I'm very happy with it. People usually buys a lot more than what you are promoting, specially when there are "free shipping" promotions for purchases above $X or sales or discounts of any type.

Thanks. So even though a company works with an affiliate company like commission junction would that affect me in getting commissions from every sale that my referrals make?

If you're asking will you get lifetime commissions after the first sale, few if any will do that. I believe Amazon's cookie is for 24 hours.

You will get commission for everything your referral buy, like with Amazon. Those vendors working with an affiliate network only means that you need to join the networks in order to be accepted by the vendor. Once you are in, you will get paid for everything your refferals buy.

You should pay more attention to what Brian said above.

Check with each company that you sing up (and get approved) through places like CJ because the lifetime of the cookie and the terms how and what they pay you for will vary for each company.

When/Before you request to be approved as an affiliate you should always read their terms... I know, I know, people never do that, they ask questions here, LOL

I did read the companies terms but they don't say whether or not they pay commissions on all items my referrals buy or just the product I referred them to so I emailed them to ask but since it was the weekend I won't get a reply until today.

I was just asking in general if other affiliate programs offer commissions on everything my referrals buy or if Amazon was the only one to do that.
