Do Long Sales Pages Work? A Sales Page You Know That's Taller than 3 men...

There is always a lot of skepticism about long sales pages. Truth is that they work very well when what you are pushing needs a lengthy explanation.

The Amazon Kindle, which is a new concept with many features, has a sales page that is 19 feet tall!

The Amazon Kindle sales page:

Some marketers are wary of long pages, associating them with aggressive sales techniques. Whenever someone tells you that they'd never buy from a long page, remind them how long Amazon's pages are.

If the Hoff endorses it, the product must be out of this world.

    I'll order 7 of them.

Ever wonder how many sales these self-annointed expert lose because they can't shut up?

I know they've talked themselves out of many, many sales when I was ready to buy, but they kept on and on and on. I was no longer interested in buying. I just wanted to get away from them.

The comparison to amazon is red herring.

Every situation is different, but you do not know until you TEST.

The Amazon is not a red herring. There are countless examples of long sales pages working really well.

SEOMoz increased sales by over $1 million and a big chunk of that was introducing a long form sales page which out performed the short one by 50%.

The key point is that you must test it as it depends on the product you are selling and who you are selling it to.

Chris, it's great to see verifiable stats backing up the fact that long sales pages (which many marketers love to declare as 'dead') still convert very well.

A lot is going to depend on the type of product or service that you're selling, but I feel that there'll always be certain scenarios where long sales pages will outperform everything else, including videos!

I wanna know if the sales page that we are using to get sign-ups in some selected affiliate programs is okay. How do you see Stone Evan's Plug-In Profit Site sales page? Is it considered long?
