I can live with that.

My next article is one block from being approved and it was submitted on 3/28.

Then I'll do some blog posts about each of them while Google screws around on getting my site indexed. I'm glad I didn't rely strictly on Google for my traffic or I'd be in really, really bad shape right now! Optimizing for search engines in general has helped a lot because when it comes to search engines, I'm getting a good deal of traffic from Yahoo and Bing too. They have more of my pages indexed.

Google? Don't know what's up with them but I'm seriously not going to worry about it. I know my site's clean, professional and REAL and if they don't like it, well, it's their loss. So there.

  • It gets better. Once your first 10 or 20 are done and they bump you to the next level, it only takes a couple days to get approved.

Is my 80th live article... My articles were getting approved in just a couple of days before the Google thing.

These two were approved faster than my last two, which took almost two weeks, right on the heels of the Farmer thing with Google. So I'm not too unhappy with a one-week approval time. Hopefully they'll get back to approving them in a couple of days again.
  • Yeah with the recent content farm updates ezine has really increased their standards of articles. It is very noticeable.

    • Geez, you're not kidding. I mean, it's a hassle having to wait, but at the same time it's good that they're weeding out the garbage too.
  • Why don't you post your content to your blog, or website first. You never know what these article directories are gonna do with your articles down the road.

With Googles new algorithm change I feel its not even worth submitting articles anymore. Ehow is the only one I would consider nowadays.

Video marketing is where its at. Article marketing is dead in my book - and I am sure some will disagree with this statement but that is how I feel.

There are better alternatives nowadays. Video marketing, blog commenting, forum posting, guest posting, etc.. etc...

  • Since the google slap ezinearticles have become a real pain the a**... squidoo lenses and hubpages will rank high too if optimized properly (and can be monetized), so I'm turning away from ezine articles.
  • For the google indexing problem be sure to submit your RSS feed to as many RSS directories as you can after you update your site. Takes about 1 day with that method from what I'm experiencing.
  • Congrats man, it's always ur first article that takes so long to get approved. Once u get a few approved it will become much quicker.
