Alot of big IM guys are e-mailing 2 e-mails per day: 1 with good infos and 1 with soft sell. It is the best way to sell a lot of different affiliates. I think you should e-mail them just when you have something really interesting for them.

I send like 4-5. If you do much, they won't even open-up them.

2 per week is a good average, alot of email marketers have a scheduale of when they send out emails. The most noticable trend seems to be emails every Tuesday and Thursday.

I'm afraid there is no answer to that question as it depends on what works after you've tested it and what your respondants signed up for! Also depends what you want to achieve with your list.

Which means 14 mails per week.Still you are going to send 7 mails with offers,Whether subscribers buy 7 offers per week.

It really depends on your list. since mine it tied into my blog every day that has a new post they get an email along with the auto responder messages spaced out one a week and then the occasional promotion email it runs about 3-7 emails per week.

It really depends on what you are sending out each time you send an email.

    Here is my methodology:

To my master list I typically only send content and value-add newletter type emails. (Once or Twice a week)

When I want to promote or sell something, I splinter off a sub-list from the master list and then promote to that sub-list because they have already expressed interest.

This way, you use your master list as a relationship building piece and then only promote (3-5 emails a week) to the sub-list because they have already expressed interest.

    My 2 cents.

2,3 times a week as more then that, it makes it seem a bit spammy!

I don't actually send any emails, maybe once a month. Unless I have something valuable or unique to offer them, I don't promote anything unless I would use it myself. I know there is alot of marketers emailing everyday. It may work for them, but for me if I did that I probably get alot of unsubscribes.

What I've found through testing over the last 7 years is there's a thing called 'recency' with any list. What that means is the response rate of a lit drops off over time. What it also means is that when people first subscribe they are more likely to take action on viewing your content/taking you up on your offers.

In one of my niches I send out an autoresponder message 1x per day for the first month. Then 1x per week for the next 6 months. Then 1x per month for the next 4 years. That is a lot of emails, but I've had people on the list make their first purchase 4+ years after first subscribing. Just make sure you give value to your list rather than just spam them with offers.

    Hope that helps,

    David.

I send out about 3 a week on most of my lists. But if the newsletter initially sends out a mini-course, then it goes out daily. After the mini-course, it goes out every 3rd day, or two days after the previous one went out.

But I also have lists where I send out newsletters only once a week.

    It depends on the niche.

Here's my rule of thumb...mail them as often as you can relevant, useful material.

If you are a part time marketer who doesn't have time to write one useful email per week - then one email per week is too many.
But if you are full time and you can come up with great useful content each day, then you can mail daily.

I have heard some say 1-2 times daily. While other people say every other day. So it really depends on the content your delivering and on your cycle of offers to freebies.

Test it and see if you really are losing subscribers.

I suspect you will be (pleasantly) surprised - as long as your emails provide value.

Hi, everyday I send one mail to them, but make sure the information you send is benifit to them, not always sales, sales and sales, at the end they might affraid of us.

But I believe most important is you should build up the relationship with the subscribers, make the message personal, make them feel you are a real person, sometimes can share some of your personal life, relevant product esperiece, good tips, maybe can give away some good report or e-book and so on.. Of cause you need to do some sales at the same time.

If you have build a good relationship with them, even 2 mails per day also not an issue.
