Make $2 in the next 10 minutes or you'll die

Hello fellow warriors,

Let's assume someone comes to you and threatens he'll kill you unless you transfer $2 to their Paypal account. On top of that he sets a 10 minutes countdown.

You're completely unprepared. You have no system set up - maybe you've got hosting already bought, a laptop and an Internet connection, a domain name, some skills you can use (web design, article writing, but nothing fancy and anyway it would be kind of difficult to focus in such a situation to do anything too complicated).

The action takes place in Somalia, so you can't do anything offline that would help you (or could you?) and of course you have less than $2 to "invest" if you think that would help.



And to make things a bit more interesting - I'll try out all your ideas and give $2 to each person who proposed something which actually worked.

    * Sell a link on my blog and request the money be sent ASAP

  • Id take a picture of the mad man, post his picture , a brief description of whats going on , and my paypal link to every form i could think of. im sure someone would send me $2 lol

    either that or propose a trade with him, my wife for the $2. ( I make out like a banded lol )

  • I'll simply sell my website which will be of course more than $2 with hosting, domain, content etc. Also, not only this but I'll borrow just $2 from my friends lol.

    • After emailing the police, i would post on a forum under CPA section with thread titled 'FREE Insurance Lead FAST!'.

      Inside, i will say i need an insurance(just in case the police couldn't arrive in 5 minutes LOL). And im feeling generous that i will give my lead through their CPA link but they have to pm me first.

      After getting lots of PM, i will update the thread saying 'Stop PMing me people,im having a hard time replying. Instead i will sign up with the first one who Paypal $2 - QUICK!'

      i think it will end up more than $2.

    • As others have said, I'd send the $2 right from my PayPal account. Then, as soon as I got safely away, I would file a dispute with PayPal to get my money back.

      If I didn't have any money, I'd ask for help on various social networking services. Then, once I got safely away, I'd contact whoever sent the $2 and tell them to dispute it with PayPal.

      Or, if he's not watching the computer screen, fake a screenshot of the money being sent to his PayPal account. Heck, I'd give him $20 that way.

    Crap. I just died. Oh well, luckily for me I got a 1UP mushroom so I'm good for another round.

    Sell something that's hot, right now. Check Ebay pulse for hot items. Do you have an xbox 360? Sell it for $10, THAT will go fast.

  • Simple and easy way is to ask my favorite customer to send me 2$ urgently and give it to him.

  • I would go to DigiResults and find one of the products, I'm already familiar with, and which will give me at least $4. (30 seconds).

    Then I would write a very fast review on my blog (you said we could have website/web host) with a strong call to action, and of course my affiliate link (7 minutes).

    I would then log in to my AWeber account and write a short blurb to my list, sending them to this blog post (30 seconds).

    Two minutes later, I would check PayPal, and hopefully find at least $4 there.

    • Not quite a easy situation but i will e mail my list and my friends on twitter. Give them a product that worth $20 for only $2 but they must send the payment to my paypal within 5 minutes. I guess somebody will rush it and hopefully in ten minutes i can check my paypal and pay the mad guy.

  • Raise the stakes and turn the table on him. Tell him he has 9 minutes to give you $4 or you'll chops his balls off and force feed them to him before he dies of shock.

      Weird question of the day award pays $2. There you go.

    Offer a heavily discounted service with a previous buyer who liked what you did.

    Do double what you would usually do, for $2!!

    Something like this "amazing offer, 10 minutes only, $2 for --> your service here"

    That would easily get the money and you would have it instantly!

      I'd drop all the prices on my jewelry website to $2 (which I can do with just a few keystrokes, clickety clickety click), send out an email blast (clickety clickety click) and watch the money roll in. Those ladies will be fighting and clawing at each other trying to get to the bargains.

      Maybe I'll actually do that as a promotion. For 10 minutes only.

    • My guess is it's just thinking about instant gratification instead of thinking long-term and trying to get some instant gratification ideas. Not a way of thinking to build a successful business.

      $2 in 10 minutes, if it's a repeatable method, is $12 per hour, or $576 in 48 hours ... and by the time you allow for falling asleep for a few hours, that brings it neatly down to about $400.

      And then there's also the fact that this thread is nearly 6 months old ...
  • I would post a thread in the Warrior Forum asking people how to raise 2 dollars in 10 minutes if your life depended on it.

    I would then take all of the ideas and make a WSO out of it.

    You might be killed first. I don't know if you can get a WSO approved and running in 10 minutes unless you have a moderator on your speed dial (or you are one).

    Your mileage may vary...
  • I'd just feel very offended that somebody thought $2 was the price of my life.
  • I'd get into an affiliate network and if an item like "smileys" are allowed on social media I'd post something on Facebook.
  • I would try to talk some since into the guy. Make him realize that $2 is not worth killing over. If he would not come to his senses I would be forced to defend myself...

    Which would end very badly for the guy with the gun.
