Really cool wordpress trick!

Ok I hate article spinners with a passion but im a huge fan of plr.

So I want to pass on a really awesome free wordpress plugin that works really well.

just do a search for WP-Obscure at wordpress.org under plugins

what the plugin does is it adds wildcards and nonsense script to the article in the source code so it appears unique to the spiders but article appears unchanged to the visitor.

in a nutshell you can post your plr content completely unspun!
once you activate the plugin it goes to work theres nothing
to mess with as far as settings go.

its great for autobloggers and its free. I have seen some gurus
charge $200 for the same style plugin.

I have been using it for a while now and it does exactly
what it was designed to do.

      Word Press is primarily used for creating blogs but can be used to create entire websites with a very friendly and easy to use back end. Google Wordpress - You can download Wordpress (but that would need to be hosted) or you can create a Free Wordpress Blog/Website from the Wordpress Website.

      It really is a great tool which seems to be used by many in this industry.

    I'd be very, very, very, very careful using something like this. This is pure, unadulterated black hat SEO and the moment Google figures it out (and trust me, they're not stupid -- they will, especially if it's a free plugin which is commonly available), your site will get de-indexed. Not worth it in my humble opinion. But to each their own.

      Exactly. Google specifically says not to show spiders one version of a page and real viewers something else.

      After the recent Google slap, one should know not to try to game the system. It's just bad news waiting to happen.

      But if you are competing in my main niches, please keep using this and spreading the word. It will help me move higher in the rankings when these users get de-indexed.

        I also don't think this would be a good idea. It's not worth the risk if you have put a lot of hard work into your website. If I had to choose between being malled by a lion and being de-indexed by Google.. I'd take my chances with the lion.

    In addition to incurring the wrath of Google, noone is going to stay on your site to read the same article they have read elsewhere. So it will end up hurting any original content you may have elsewhere on your site.

      This kind of code manipulation is nothing new. Google sees it and Google wacks it BIG TIME. The footprints on this kind of source code are left fat and large for G to see quickly.

    While the idea of this sounds good, using it is another thing. I would NOT use it. It's better to take a few minutes and rewrite the PLR rather than trying to trick Google.

    Very bad idea! I am wondering how comes the WP guys left this plugin on their site... since even they were severely punished a few years ago (when IMers didn't even hear about WP yet) exactly for that: showing one thing to human visitors and something different to spiders...

    Anyway, DON'T use it and forget this thread!

    Anything that looks like duplicate content is a bad idea. Google gets better and better at finding duplicate content all the time.

      Google does not make any penalties for duplicate content, if it did then the original content would always rank higher. Over the years i have had masses of syndicated articles that rank higher than mine and thatcould not happen if they penalised duplicate content.

      Still not a great idea to use thqt plugin because its massive footprint won't be missed
