One of my product reviews got linked to from the manufacturer's website!

I have a physical product review website (not going to name the niche) which I post reviews to, and then and post them to Ezine and a few other directories. Today I was looking at one of the manufacturer's sites, and to my shock, they quoted and linked to my review from a PR4 page, anchor text and all.

I am in shock from seeing this; it really made my day. I wouldn't have expected it in a million years. There's a small problem, though: they linked to the Ezinearticles version of my review, and not directly to my website.

Should I try to contact them and ask them to link to my website directly? I suppose it's worth a try, right?

This is some crazy stuff.

Update: I asked them to change the link directly to my website, and they obliged.

    Right on! That shows what can happen when you write quality reviews that actually helps people and not just trying to sell a product.

    Soon you'll get people contacting you through your site thanking you for the reviews because it helped them so much. That's happened to me quite a few times and it feels great.

    Keep up the good work. That back link from the manufacturer can help you a lot in the serps.

        I know... that's what I said.

        I just fired off an email to them asking them to link to the review on my site directly rather than the Ezinearticles version. With any luck they'll change it.

        edit: Wow, that was fast. They changed the link to my website.

        This is very encouraging; it makes me feel a lot more confident in my writing.
