Could you please review my first site?

Hi - before I begin, I just want you to know I hate troubling people over these kind of things, but I'm really in a need of useful consulting or constructive criticism.

I've been in IM for about 2 months now, grabbing onto every free material I get my hands on.

So... I did a little keyword research, found a little nich I wanted to promote, designed a little website, and I'm promoting a little product

here's my website: www joggingbenefits net

I would just like to ask some of you who are experienced with affiliate sales. Is this going to work? Should I continue promoting it? How should I promote it best? Should I change something about the content/website in general, and if so, what?

Thank you warriors!

For your first site I'd say you did very well.

    Just a couple of pointers:

Remove the "About Wordpress", and the "Coming Soon" from the right side-bar.

If you can, add an opt-in box at the top right side-bar.

    Nice Job.

yes i was thinking about that, in the "about wordpress" I intend to replace it with "Related or reccomended links" box. about the opt-in box, im not sure... imo it looks kind of nice... atleast something is blinking on my site x)

I think what he's getting at is that you need to build a list that will allow you to promote more products over a longer period of time. Unless you are only in it to make a quick buck and then fade away, you need to build a list.

I'm not sure what you mean by list. If you notice in the navigation bar, I've got Jogging Diet, Jogging Equipment and Jogging Tunes, in which in the near future, I intend to promote some other products.

Is this what you mean? or?

We are talking about building an opt-in e-mail list. As in, you give people some sort of incentive to sign up for your "Newsletter" or whatever you want to call it. This way you have a growing list of e-mails and you can send mass e-mail campaigns to your entire list - building a relationship with your visitors and ultimately promoting more products via your "list".

Ah thank you for an explanation. I didn't quite get you at first, because this is the one thing I haven't really investigated in IM.

I heard about it, it sounds as an immense advantage, however, I heard you need to use aweber for it? or something?

Anyway that costs bucks, and I'm still not making any

While it is possible to make money with no money, you are going to be better off in the long run making small, informed investments in the beginning.

                Or something, yes.

Aweber costs $1 for the first month and then $19 after that. You need to be able to make $20 in two months. Not so easy without using Aweber or something.

Don't use a "free autoresponder", though.

You need to run a quick spellcheck on the entire site (I noticed "appetite" misspelled and there may be others).

Very good first site - well done!

It's a nice layout/presentation. Although clearly the site is not finished. Unless you intend to complete the links to the pages soon (About, Contact, Jogging Diet, Jogging Equipment, Jogging Tunes) you should hide them.

As already mentioned, it is very important to build a list, because sales particularly in very competitive niches such as this often take several exposures before purchase. I believe aweber still has a promotion for $1 the first month.

Thank you for the reccomendation. I will consider investing some money for the opt-in email thingy.

    @roddy - sorry I couldn't answer your PM because they dont allow me to send PMs until I reach 50 posts O_O here's my e-mail: zannix1337 @ gmail.com

    - and yes -> I did some backlinking, I wrote 2 articles and submitted them to goarticles, ezinearticles(waiting to be approved), articledashboard(waiting to be approved) and sooperarticles(waiting to be approved)

I also submited my homepage to reddit and digg.

Planning to write about 10 more articles and submitting them to these major directories.

That's about it concerning the SEO. I think I managed to take care of the on-page optimization quite well... ?

Some small points: Contact Us or should it just be a Contact page if there is only one of you. Also, fill out the About page with something about you (or the fictitious you) so that those who visit your site get an idea of who and what you are about. Otherwise, you have a nice site. Keep up the good work.

Thank you guys. It is my first site - it's a wordpress site so I didn't have to do much. I browsed around for a related theme, installed it. I edited html code a bit to change a few stuff, I wrote my content, found interesting color-matching pictures... and that's about it

The part Im worrying about is generating traffic :S

Hey, great site for your first time, they say simple is better than jamming all sorts of offers all over the site. You don't need the About Wordpress. Also you are probably thinking about monitizing your site, Adsense or other, don't do that yet, get some good targeted traffic coming in first, then come back and plan out your strategy and you will be fine.

    Hope that helps, Dave...

    Hello Mate.
you need to change one small but MOST IMPORTANT thing, i see you are selling like one affiliate, right?
but the mistake was redirecting people without take the basic data like name e email.
you need a simple form and one autoresponders to make more money online.
If you give to people one free blueprint or some tips, or fresbies, people subscribe.
    Good luck.
