Can Writing Potentially Offensive Content (Adult/Porn Related) Get Your Site Delisted From G Search?

Pretty straightforward question. One of my clients was asking me if he was writing articles about sexual positions, toys, etc. get his site potentially delisted from Googles search results.

I personally don't think it would, simply because Google is open to information sharing, regardless of the type of information that is being presented. But, to be on the safe side, I figured I would ask on this forum.

What do you think?

    Probably not delisted, but his site may not show in the search results if people are using Google with SafeSearch turned on.

    I don't think Google will outright delist you, but it would definitely have negative SEO connotations.

    One of my favorite "SEO checklists" categorically mentions this as a SEO factor. Although I have no personal experience with writing adult stuff, I do believe this guy's words:

      Not so sure about this, I can see how writing this sort of content would disallow any adsense ads from displaying though.

    It definitely doesn't get you delisted, unless you engage in black hat SEO or you are writing about illegal activities. However, your stuff will not show up in general searches since most people have safe search turned on by default. Then again, I don't imagine you'd want the general population to find your stuff anyway. Those who want to find material like yours quickly learn to shut off the safe search option...

    OTOH, you will also be a little more limited in your options for finding backlinks. Many blogs, social networks and bookmarking sites as well as many article directories will refuse to carry links from you. This may be why there was a question as far as SEO is concerned -- it's just a different world where the standard rules of SEO don't always apply.

      No illegal activities or anything like that. One of the topics he suggested does show up results when i type them in.

      Haha. Yeah its just an example, thats not really what he is looking to right about. I just tried searching for some of the topics he is looking to target, and results do show up, but slightly different from results than when it is turned on.
