My Checklist for each new Product

I used to follow an ad hoc (read - disorganized) approach to getting all my required material ready for each new product I launched. Finally, I sat down and just walked through in my head exactly what I needed in terms of content for every single new product.

Here's the short version:

*** indicates the copy that as a minimum I split test.

Pre Sell

Squeeze Page "sales copy" *** [here's why you should give me your email]
Give-away Presell Report.
Email Confirmation Page One Time Offer.
Pre-Sell Autoresponder email series [7 daily emails]

Main Sale Process

Main Sales Page *** [here's why you should give me your money]
Upsell Sales copy *** [here's why you should give me just a little more money]
Thank You / Unadvertised Bonus Squeeze Page [ie to get Buyers on to my Buyers List]

Main Product Content
Bonus Product Content
Upsell Product Content

Post Sale

Buyer's List Autoresponder Series

Affiliates

Affiliates Sign Up Page [ie 'why you should promote my product]
Affiliate Tools [ie emails, banners, PPC, articles etc]
Affiliate Autoresponder [a daily, then weekly email to motivate Affiliates to promote]

Hope that helps.
In all honesty, it's a ton of work. But it definitely helps to have a checklist and just work through it methodically.

Thank You for this, I love it. I have wondered what the steps are in a launch but have been a little intimidated about it. This is going in my 'go to' files

Glad you like it. My lite version of Product Launch Formula but $1999 cheaper.

Now that's a handy checklist to have on your desk! It always pays to be organized - it keeps you focused and it gets the job done quicker. Thanks for sharing this with us!

This actually reminds me of a story I heard about 2 construction companies who were building very similar large buildings and started at the same time. One company got started right away with the building work while doing simultaneous but adhoc planning, while the other company spent 3 months just in planning alone before putting a shovel in the ground. The 2nd company completed their project much sooner than the first and made more profit.

Hey, its probably just a story, but your post made me think of it

I definitely spend about 30% of my time just working on systems and plans rather than doing what people would normally regard as 'work'.

It took me a long time [and reading the E-Myth and Work the System a few times] to realize its a much more efficient way to operate.
