I'm currently using getresponse and want to switch to Aweber. I'm sure some other people on the WF has made the switch and I was wondering if my subscribers would need to OPT-IN again? If I switch my autoresponder will my prospects/customers need to authorize the switch or can I just add them to my new email?

U need to import your list to aweber... After that your list will be informed to subcribe again to your new aweber..

By doing that, from my exp you will get lot of losing your email list..

That's sometimes what happens; it sometimes isn't what happens.

Shaun (just above) is completely right. You have to discuss this situation with Aweber. It may be that they'll allow you to import the list without a re-opt-in, if you can really satisfy them of everything they want to know/verify.

you will need to re-import your list and you will lose a portion of it, but you will also weed out a lot of inactivity from the list as well. make the switch.

Maybe you could offer them an incentive to switch?

If your subscribers have already opted-in via GetResponse
and you have a fully traceable audit path for every e-mail
address, then AWeber MAY let you import without forcing
    them to re-confirm.

Contact AWeber support to get an accurate answer for
    your specific situation.

Last time I checked, Chase Kramer was one of the Import
    Specialists at AWeber.

My understanding is that provided you can prove to AWeber
that your subscribers opted-in via another reputable system
that they approve of, then they may let you import.

They may ask you for your log-in details for your other
provider so they can verify that you've built a real
    confirmed opt-in list.

    Dedicated to mutual success,
