  • I dont think It would effect on my business.Probably It can be more profitable for me in terms of business growth. However for the first time I am hearing this news and thanks for sharing.
  • If they make any significant changes to either the layout of the video view pages (with regard to 'related videos') or make any changes to the algorithm that serves related videos I will be cooked. That is the source of all of my Youtube traffic. Otherwise I'll be fine.
  • I think quality will become more important to get seen, but amongst the broadcast channels they'll be a lot of opportunity for nicely produced videos in all kinds of small niches.
  • The videos I have on youtube make a small regular income but if the algorithm changes we'll just have to adapt and look at new ways to get ranked. It's the same old story with google looking to attract professional media but there's always a way round it for the small guy. Wait and see what happens.

    • I'm really interested to see how this is going to turn out. I mean YouTube is already competing with television because people just prefer watching YouTube instead of TV.

I guess it's just the same as with other Google changes, spammy videos are going to rank worse and good videos will slowly emerge. Well... of course there are some very far from good, but very popular videos on YouTube... But sometimes good is not what the crowd wants.
