    Search engine spiders cannot follow a no-follow link. So they do not count towards your backlinks.

    Also, you may want to designate some of your site's own outgoing links as no-follow. Thus preventing spiders from leaving your site to follow a link to another site.

        You need to add a tag in your outgoing hyperlinks:

        rel="nofollow"

        For example,

        <a href="exampleurl">example anchor text</a>

        ^This would typically be a dofollow link.

        <a rel="nofollow" href="exampleurl">example anchor text</a>

        ^This would be a nofollow link.

        There is a cool Firefox plugin you can download called "nodofollow", it basically allows you to check whether a link it dofollow or nofollow so you can confirm your hyperlinks are setup correctly.

        Cheers,
        Dave

    In my personal experience Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine. Dofollow allow search engine to crawl links. Nofollow tag we can use if we are using a link for reference not for crawl. Both are good for human traffic.

    A do-follow link it is always better because it will be considered as a backlink.
    A no-follow link will not allow the search engines to "follow" that link.

      I think to say "will not allow" is a bit of exaggeration... There is NOTHING that would prevent a SE bot from following it.

    Do-follow means,search engines will consider your link as a backlink,but nofollow will not be considered as a backlink to your sites. This is it.
