Just curious to hear how groupon is working out for you, if you are promoting it. Been thinking about how to best promote groupon on my websites. Any tips appreciated.

I believe you get paid by referrals to the site as members. If you write some articles to target people looking for deals you should be in good shape.

I do my own Mobile service with simple software and provide it to my local community.

Perhaps the best idea would be to set up a website focused on good deals? Although I suspect there is a lot of competition in that area. Just adding the Groupon banners on my current websites converts really badly, since these sites are in a different niche.

I am the Online Marketing Executive of Groupon UK, if you have any questions regarding advertising Groupon in the UK let me know.

As for the ways you can advertise/promote Groupon well there are two main options through a revenue share or through CPA.

CPA - This is generally done through Neverblue or Epic, however we do run on other networks too.

Revenue Share - This is run through Affiliate Window and gives you a general 10% base commission plus monthly bonuses.

If anyone else has any questions please let me know.

    Regards,
    Will.

I can't see the benefit of that, since I am already an affiliate with Groupon, who you have modeled your company after?

Take a look at my signature. It is a new company modeled after Groupon that has a lot of potential and is a great business for online or offline warriors.

      Thanks.

I've actually been curious about Groupon as a merchant. My partner and I were talking about it last week and were thinking about trying a promotion through them. Has anybody used them to generate leads here? Any success with it?

I do not use any of the "90210" "keyword" type programs. I control everything from my office. When some one sees a sign or banner in town that says, "Get Free Coupons" Go To Coupon Text Express | Facebook and they sign up to receive coupons by text, they are placed in a local list and businesses who are using our service email us a special for the local list either once or twice weekly depending on the plan they are on. They must request the time the text goes out at least 24 hours in advance. We set the text in the software to go out to the list. The merchant pays a monthly fee with no additional charges. we offer all local merchants the first 30 days free plus we offer to put a "Get Free Coupons" TAB on their Facebook page. They let their fans and customers know to sign up on their page or they can send them to Coupon Text Express | Facebook

We offer businesses the opportunity to send unlimited messages to unlimited lists for $59 a month. No other fees or per text charges EVER!

The oldest saying in IM is still true in MM. The money is in the list. We spend 80% of our time promoting to the public. They are the ones who benefit the most with the savings by text. This is targeted advertising with a 97% or more open rate. Its staggering.

We're in the process of completing the code for Canada, the UK, Aus and NZ. We'll be leasing our program for $60 a month.
