Is This How/When I Started Making Money Online? (Extremely Personal Story...)

Hey all,

I want to share something real quick, and it's very personal to me. But, this has impacted my online business in a huge way and things are definitely moving now, and I think this will help you too, if you take the 5 minutes to do it.

Let me start by saying this:

Success doesn't happen. It doesn't fall into your lap. It's something you work for. But you probably know that, right?

Sure, when it comes to internet marketing we see people making $10,000 a week/month all the time. But they didn't go from $0/week to 5 figures. It took work, work ethics, and dedication.

From teaching students, helping clients, and talking to other 'successful' marketers, I've realized that those kinds of concepts are abused and over-used, and few people actually do have what it takes to make it past the threshold.

Because the truth is... Making money online doesn't just "work out". You Make it Work. Few people are willing to actually go out and do that, which is why the failure rate is so high, why so few people make anything that amounts to a solid income.

And on that note, I want to share this personal thing of mine. I want to share it with you to help you, since it helps me every single day.

...So here it is:

Almost a year ago I sat down and wrote something. I wrote it to free myself from limiting beliefs I had about 'online business' and doubts I had about myself. Doubts about my situation, and how I always made excuses for things... Including not being where I wanted in life and with my business.

So, I wrote this. I have it hanging in the most obvious place - above my work desk - and I read it every single day. More than once and occasionally even more than that.

It's very powerful, since it always moves me to action. Here's what it says:
"My dream board has some pretty awesome stuff on it. The dream car, both short-term (370Z) and long-term (Salene S7), the dream house, and financial freedom.

These aren't things that you happen upon. You go out and make them happen. Only the successful people have these things, since only they know how to get them. The rest of the world has to sit there and look on, keeping and coveting their dreams as they live in their own limited reality, never to have one single thing they think is beyond their reach.

I'm NOT going to stay there. I have my own reality, and from this exact moment onward that reality is infinitely different and more than what I ever thought possible from those around me who have limited and handicapped my potential and possibilities.

What I want in life is for me to have, anything and everything. If I don't have it, by willing exactly what I want and going out to get it, by taking massive action, I can and will have it.

From this moment on, I separate myself from all limiting beliefs, about myself and my potential. Nothing is hard, whether it's physical or mental, unless I make it hard. Making money is easy and fun, and it's out there and all around me waiting for me to take it.

This is my reality. I'm 22 and I'm wealthy as hell. If not in material possessions (yet), then in spirit, determination, mindset, specialized knowledge and motivation. I'm already successful since I conquered the one thing that can stop the strongest man: will power.

Everything I want in life is there for me. I'm going out there with massive action and taking it.

I'm the shepherd."
This was almost a year ago...

After I wrote out this letter I started applying myself more. I closed 2 clients over the next 2 weeks, where before I had yet to close any. I made 28 sales on various Clickbank products the week after that, which is what sparked the ambition to transition from a position at a Web Design company to working for myself building my own online info-product business.

I'm not saying that all this happened from writing out that short letter. But I'm not saying it didn't, either. All I know is that it was the most liberating thing I'd done up until that point, and I want you to know what that's like, to feel that motivated and GOOD.

I also hope you guys/gals have something as powerful and meaningful to you that you look at every day. And I hope you know what you're working towards and that it's something you'll kick ars for, because it's going to make you work ten times harder than you ever thought you would.

And lastly, I hope you come to realize - sooner than later - that YOU are the result of what you have and where you are with your business.

It's not the course you didn't apply yourself on, it's not the crap situation you may be in, and it's certainly not the time you don't think you have to work on stuff.

Once you realize that where you are (or aren't) is the product of YOU, then you'll open doors wide enough to drive a Salene S7 through.

I hope some of you take this to heart, and thanks for reading

-Tom

    Wow Tom.

You are a living testimony of setting up the dream board and becoming successful.

I knew about this back in 2005 (when I had gone heavy into multi level marketing) but did not do it.

Now I know it's extremely powerful.

My personal thanks goes to you.

Will Power is one the hardest things for people to acquire for long periods of time. It usually comes in little spurts, but to have sustained will power and motivation it requires mastery of oneself. Thats what I figure anyways. Good read!

Great stuff, Tom! I've always wanted to have time freedom to spend more time with my kids. Being single mom, I feel like I have been working all day every day just to pay my bills and missed all their childhood. I wasn't able to be a classroom helper mom or be a driver for their field trip or waiting for them at a school bus stop and so many things that I wish I could... now they are teenagers...

So I started Network Marketing business and of course that didn't take off.. I started reading and learning about sales and marketing. That lead me to Internet Marketing. It's been only 2 months, but I feel confident that I can finally make my dream come true! Especailly with great support here at WF!

    Anyway, thanks again, Tom.
God bless you and your loved ones.
    Sincerely,
    Yoko

P.S. I'm so LOVING your WSO!!!

      Hi Yoko!

Yeah the Warrior Forum is really a place unlike any other. In my opinion, you won't find any other place with as many people as there are here that are always willing to help you and encourage you and share things with you.

And now that you found a way to your dreams, you need to stick to it and rock it out.

And I'm glad you're liking the WSO so much! I just emailed you back as a matter of fact

      -Tom

PS- Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'm glad you got a benefit from this as I do.

Motivation is the key. Some people are not brave enough to find it within themselves to rise to the top. Kudos to you for doing so.
