It kind of sounds like a shotgun approach to me... Obviously, since porn is so popular then there will be some people who may truly be interested in such a product.

As someone who is a former adult webmaster, that is the STUPIDEST idea I've ever heard of. People who are looking for adult stuff are looking for adult stuff, they're not going to stop their "moment" and say "oh let me look at this business opportunity". :rolleyes:

I am also a former adult webmaster and from my POV it isn't such a stupid idea as you put it. Just because people are looking at an adult website does not necessarily mean they wouldn't be drawn to an ad about making money online IF they are curious about the topic. In the end, it comes down to more traffic they did not have. Whether it converts or not, that is another issue...

Yes but that's the whole thing, from what I understood it wasn't an ad on a site. That's not stupid....the stupid thing is that it was a tag at the end of a video.:rolleyes:

I'm not going to get all crass here but that is the last thing people want to see when they're watching video. They're not looking for business opportunities. Now if it was just an ad on a site then maybe.

To be quite honest, i think thats the last thing on ppl's mind when they're watching porn, ESPECIALLY at the end lol ... Besides I think most guys skim through the videos anyways, we almost never watch the ads/end credits when the scene is over. I find the more effective ads to be at the begining of the scenes. Like that hotbook.com one, im sure they get tons of traffic from their effective, short, and simple opening scene ad.

On a side note, i have been contemplating starting an adult site, but i am unsure of some of the legal ramifications of the industry. If anyone could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Agreed. I imagine (I wouldn't know of course, a friend told me) that most viewers are somewhat distracted towards the end, if they manage to get there at all.

What's the idea behind the method? Do they believe that people watching porn videos are also interested in making money online ?

Well at least one person is, right Almin? Well two actually, if you include my friend, who funnily enough, happens to be an internet marketer...

Well, considering that I frequently receive spam eMails (100% spam--they are not from any lists I subscribed to) for this "Click 'n' Bank" product, I wouldn't put anything past them, or their affiliates, or whoever is promoting it.

I have seen these ads myself. I would not advise doing it unless the porn clips are your own-made and therefore you own the rights. These guys are looking for a lawsuit. I highly doubt that they have requested the right to do this from the copyright owners as I have seen these ads at the end of many clips from movies by large studios. I could be wrong, but it looks like it would be way to expensive to buy the rights to do this. However, it could be that the domain they use to promote the product in the video us a special URL that, when used to purchase, sends the commission to the copyright owner of the porn clip. I suppose that is possible. However, my message here is to not just go around taking copyrighted material, attach your ad to the end of it, and then upload it for all to download. You will be looking at major legal trouble.

On another note, I will say, assuming this is legit, these guys have a good idea. Porn watchers are probably among some of the most gullible and "desperate to make money" people out there. They are the perfect suckers to buy into a GRQ opp. Yes, the conversion is probably low, but if done properly would probably net a good many buyers and eventual back-end buyers. It's all a numbers game sometimes.

BTW, no one would expect a porn surfer to stop his porn surfing and go to the site to read than purchase the product. They can do that when they are done with their "deed". So the argument that no porn surfer is going to stop porn surfing to visit a "make money" opp sales page is not really well-though out. It's a given that they will not do that. But they won't be surfing porn all day and they do have memories. After All, they are simply just humans

I think the person is not having success with affiliate marketing so they are using the traffic from the porn industry to bring more traffic to their affiliate link and hoping that they get at least one sale.

If the method works for them then they might consider continuing in this manner to try and generate more affiliate sales.

Yeah, of course, there were those who declared they read Playboy for the articles - maybe still do.

And it might not be clear whether these people would drop whatever they were doing to join up - if you know what I mean....
