This never ceases to amaze me...

Without a doubt, this is funniest thing I tend to see on these forums.

It's when you'll see a post from someone asking how to either A) Get started in IM, B) make thousands of dollars with IM, or something along those lines and in their sig line they have this:

"Click Here To Learn How I Make Hundreds Of Dollars A Day!"

Are freaking serious? You can't possibly be serious? I always think that to myself when I see these unbelievable posts.

Like I am EVER going to take you seriously after you make a thread asking for help, yet your sig line is promoting a solution to the problem you are needing help with...

Some would argue that they are just doing it to advertise their product, but how in the world can you expect someone to buy your product after a post like that?

Again are you serious? Sure enough--most of them are.

Regardless, happy Friday everyone!

In their defense (not that they really deserve one), the WSO that they just purchased tells them to put that crap in their sig or convey that message.

Is it more effective to go after the dealers or the users?

There are a lot of people out there asking how to make money online with a make money online blog listed in their signature. Crazy.

Dealers by far. If I ever received that kind of advice in a WSO I'm not sure what I would do. I've never came across anything like that, which is why I would be extremely surprised if someone actually recommended that practice inside their report.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Hehe Yea, I see a lot of that.

My personal favorites are the people who come to the copywriter section asking for a critique on a sales page that claims they make 6 figures a month - and yet they can't afford a few thousand for a decent copywriter.

Ouch. That's embarrassing to say the least.

Just goes to show that many truly do believe in the motto "Fake it till you Make it..."

People are cheap and they don't really know the value ($$ to them in the long run) of a good copywriter and are ignorant of what actually goes into writing really good copy. "All you have to do is use the work 'killer' or 'killing it' a bunch of times and voila!" They know it when they see it because they want to buy but they have no idea why.

Yeah, it's so silly. Who would ever take such signature line for real? They are making themselves look utterly stupid.

  • Yes, ridiculous and funny at the same time. All these people are running around looking for low hanging fruit. What's worse is when they find someone who takes the bite, it's like a big pyramid scheme.

There is money to be had out there but you'll probably never see in a WSO, "This is going to be hard work and you're going to go without sleep, stay up all night working on a project and oversleep for your day job. There will be times when you feel like quitting and most of you will quit because it can be a thankless pursuit for many of you because it is hard work that requires dicipline... but BUY MY STUFF!!!"

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Which makes the the whole concept of asking for help with advertised services (which would solve the problem) in your sig line even that more trivial!
