Resale Rights/PLR - Are People Loosing Interest?

I was working on my sagging (almost non-existent) resale rights campaign - I'm selling a handful of resale rights reports - did a keyword search in adwords for "resale rights" and related phrases. There's about a page and a half of results that get 5,000 searches or more, but the competition seems really low. When I look at the yearly graph, most don't have enough volume to graph, and those that do are tanking big time - especially in the last month.

Am I reading this wrong, or is the resale rights/PLR market loosing ground?

    Depends on what kind of PLR you provide. Is it of high-quality? Is it limited? I assure you I'll continue to buy PLR content from people who don't sell more than 50 copies. Even then I'm going to still have to rewrite it. But for $6 (the going rate it would seem for packs of 10 articles) you can't beat the research already being done for you.

      I think BloggingPro made a good point, use it as a research tool, but then write the content properly. ANother option is to turn the ebook into an audio or video.

    The bar has been raised... producing quality products for resale takes a lot of time, effort, and in most cases investment... unless you are uniquely qualified to publish on the subject.

    Great PLR is not hard to find... crummy resale rights abound.

    I save my cash for quality PLR and rarely will buy just resale rights.

    Am I getting this right? You're inside AdWords Keyword tool and are looking at that green bar under competitors?

    All that tells you is the competition using AdWords - not competition generally. So if it's low, it means people just aren't promoting PLR with AdWords. It's very likely they've discovered a much less costly way to promote their PLR products.

    If you really want to see your competition, go into Google and enter your keyword in "-". You'll get a much bigger perspective.

      Was looking at the green bar, but also the 12-month search volume graph - you hover your mouse over the keyword, and click the magnifying glass.

      Does anyone find these graphs to be useful?
