I use pubsubhubbub on several blogs. Recently I wrote an blog posting, within about 20 minutes when I was searching for something similar to what I wrote, I found in on the second page of that search result. I am sure pubsubhubbub help to get my blog posting indexed so quickly by Google.

Sounds like a cool little tweak for WP blogs... I am going to check it out now. Speaking of plugins and such, what do you think of the Akismet plugin? Do we need to use it or is there a free alternative (for pro/business blogs obviously). There has got to be something else...? Anyone?

Yea, it's pretty handy, I'll all about doing the least amount of work for the maximum results. That is why I love wordpress and plugins, plugins are machines that do a lot of work for us.

it does not update your posts, it is used by google reader and other sites. That is how when you post new content, instead of waiting for Google to get around to crawling your site, you are basically telling Google to come and crawl your site immediately.

It does not make your posts number one, it just helps notify Google of them, SEO is responsible for ranking

this plugin has nothing to do with keywords per se, the keywords will be dictated by your content, all it does is notify google reader and other sites that you have posted new content and to come and look at it.

Looks like we are in the middle of a "Wordpress Revolution"

Watched an interview on CNBC (show was called "Venture") with the co-founder of Wordpress.

His vision is that WP will dominant all websites on the net (as much as 70%) in the next few years. To me he sounded like a young Bill Gates.

I like WP and use blogs.

But I wonder how everyone else feels about WP eventually being "the" standard for sites online?

That's my 2 cents.

Wonderwheel works great. I recommend getting something that will scrape the results and then doing some keyword research though. That way you can target keywords that will bring you some traffic.

Folks,

WordPress default machine already provides a sure shot way to call G and other SE. That's why people hit Publish, and couple seconds later, content/page/post is indexed. Adding another plugin to achieve what WP does best, is just redundant.

Google wonderwheel is a way of G to inform people getting at the bottom of results of RELATED keywords of the one user provided - they are NOT providing a list of keywords people should focus on. Quite the opposite: People focusing their content efforts into what Google gives you... just shows Google you know jack about that market.

More, if people keep writing about these related results they'll miss a lot of traffic/sales and that website could be labeled as "hiper optimized" by G and be kicked out of top 20/50.

As usual, feel free to add a kazillion plugins and chase rainbows after wonderweel.
