Where should this be posted?...

I am looking to start selling some of my own digital products. I would like to do a WSO on them, but I want to know if these products are going to be received well, so I would like to giveaway a review copy of the first set of products to a warrior. I am unable to find where I would post such an offer without breaking forum rules.
Could someone please help point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
H.

One possibility is to start the WSO and then specify the first X number of copies as review copies... some people have done that.

We've never really specified an area for review requests, but you could alternatively put it in the Product Reviews section and it'll be OK there.

If they say not to post your own products up, then don't. Breaking the rules is not looked upon well here.

I think your best bet is to post the WSO and give away the first few copies for free for review.. that is, if your product is good. If you are worried about the reception of your product because it is low quality, then don't post it - because the reviews will come back negative. But if your product is good, warriors will write good reviews, and people will buy.

I'm about to be posting my first WSO too, so I understand your nervousness.. but if you have a quality product, it should go fine.

Thanks Mandark. I think your right, that's why I posted this to try to find a place to review my product. No worries though I think my product is great so WSO here I come

      Thanks again,
      H.

      tks.

Not always 3, Jill, for the record. Unfortunately, that will only make that one post disappear. The jackass has 35 posts so far. I've Skyped a mod who can hopefully ban the troll.

Oh, and btw, for the OP and responders, Ken replied and he is a mod so you're safe doing what he says. Paul Myers, another mod, has also said to post your review requests down in that section.

      healingoasis,

      Welcome to the forum.

You could do what Ken suggested, but really, there's no rush to put up a WSO - if your product's good it can probably wait a little while.

My advice would be to get to know the forum and let the members get to know you a bit more. Contribute to the threads that interest you and in the meantime, maybe put a link to your product in your sig file, asking for reviews.

Then, when you get to do a WSO, you'll be better known and more likely to have a successful campaign.

Thanks a lot Frank. I really appreciate it. The idea about the sig link is great! Would it be bad to put an optin form on the product i want to review to try to build my list?

If you placed the product on your own site, there's no reason why you couldn't have an opt-in form. Just bear in mind that it might put off some potential reviewers.

    Product review section.

Get some feedback and then use it as testimonials, unless of course they crash and burn.

    Good luck.

I took the most common advice, I started my first WSO! I'm pretty excited. Thanks again for everyone's help.

    Cheers,

If I were in your shoes I'd just start selling straight away and let the reviews happen naturally.

Even if you're charging $10 per copy you've only got to make 4 sales to break even in the WSO forum.

And you've got a list of 4 buyers
