Hi warriors.

I am working to create an amazon network but i would like to clarify an aspect about amazon products.

If i have found a good niche keyword but there are only 4-5 products on amazon for that niche, it's convenient to invest money on this niche?

P.s.: only 1 product has 2 good reviews written by users.

Thanks.

I am certainly not an expert yet as I only have a few sites promoting Amazon products but a I understand it, you want at least 5 products with good reviews that have good search volume with the keywords so you will have enough products to create your review site.

    It makes sense.

If you're not using Amazon.com check the maximum payout per sale. For Amazon.co.uk it is £7.00.

Your internet marketing for this Amazon niche can only be profitable if you ensure the products will be around for the next few years or more. This is because your SEO efforts will be long term, and you will not want to spend months gaining rankings for your keywords only to find that your products have been discontinued.

You want to pick products that sell online. If there are only a couple of products in that niche and there aren't any reviews, people probably aren't buying it online.

One of these products have a review and also the product is on the bestseller list for kitchen products.

It can be a good reason to invest on that niche?

Check if it's high in demand..I would certainly check Ebay as well...The best way to see what's the hottest product for the month is use Terapeak. This will help you along the way...

My best earning amazon site only promotes one product and has very few if any reviews on Amazon...

However this site promotes a product that is $150+ and I'm currently number #3 for the keyword (I've been as high as #1 & #2 at the same time before) and is on the first page for about every associated keyword.

But, the biggest part of me making so much from this one particular site is my other Amazon sites that sell lower priced items which brings the commission percentage up! This increase can make a huge difference on the higher ticket items.

    Good Luck

This is key! I do the same thing Coby, and it really helps boost your commission % fast so you can maximize profits. Selling 40 $20 items on Amazon isn't really that exciting but when you sella $300 item at 7% instead of 4.5% it is!

Without doubt it is possible to target a small selection of products.
Its all down to traffic you can get to it, if the traffic is there then there is profit to be made.

        Good luck!

Absolutely! As long as the keywords for the niche and products have decent volume, you can have a very successful site!

Investing in any amazon site is such a no-brainer when you consider that hosting and domain costs are really your only necessary costs!

Amazon isn't really a niche, it's an affiliate program that allows you access to products from many different niches.

The important thing when choosing a niche for an Amazon site or any other type on affiliate site, is not how many products you can promote in this niche but if there is any profitable product to promote. Just one product can be enough if it is profitable enough.

    How to evaluate its profitability?

    - There is any keyword related to that product you can rank for (based on the competitors)?
    - This keyword or keywords have enough searches to drive the needed traffic to your site?
    - This keyword, has commercial value? Meaning, people using it is willing to buy or just looking for free info.

Regarding the Amazon reviews. If the product has not reviews or just few and not really good, make a good pre-selling. Try to convince the reader that this is the product the want to buy. Moreover, even if they don't buy the product you are promoting but another one, you will still get the commission.

      1400 exact match search

      - This keyword, has commercial value? Meaning, people using it is willing to buy or just looking for free info.

It's a generic name of a subcategory of products.

Yes- Your site should show the product related to your contents. If your site is about woman makeup and you show a amazon widget with the advertisement of a football, you can't sell. So stick with that 1-2 product.

I'd definitely looks for something else. Or at least other products in that niche. Having good decent reviews from existing customers is the key in my opinion.
