Sellimg Services on Freelancing Sites?

I'm thinking of selling my services on freelancing sites such as elance to raise a bit of needed money. I created a great musical composition and a lot of people loved it on YouTube. I also have a bunch of articles I wrote and am not doing anything with. Could make a WSO out of them but the WSO has gotten very crowded these past years.

Anyone have experience selling their services on freelancing sites, not bidding on projects but putting something up for sale on the marketplace.

    That has never worked for me. I have tried to sell few stuffs on freelance marketplace but didn't do well. I would prefer to do a WSO instead.

    Most people who buy on freelanceing sites are looking to get something specific done, not buy an off the shelf solution. I agree with @iuditg, try a WSO instead. Otherwise offer your services as a composer on freelancing sites and write stuff specifically for clients.
