How To Upload Wordpress Theme?

Howdy!

I want to know how to upload a Wordpress theme , Currently I'm using a free wordpress Blog. I want to know how to upload it to their so I can use it from the Dashboard. If I do get a Domain & Hosting How do I Upload and Edit it from thier , Like add content and Pictures?

      Sorry! I'm having similar problem. I have just bought a hosting platform with the domain name (freenetprogram.com) I want to install a wordpress theme from my cpanel, I have gone through the tips on how to do it and i find it easy with just few clicks. but the theme on my cpanel is not good enough. There are many other wordpress theme i see on the net and desire to use. My worry is that, would i be able to change this theme once i install wordpress on my domain or should i just go download a wordpress theme on my computer and upload to my domain will it work easily that way and how do i go about it?

      I will appreciate any help

    Not sure what you're asking, but if you mean getting a domain, you can go with their paid package. If you mean changing the theme, then you go to Appearance in the Admin area.

    If want to make this blog professional, i.e. you want to make money from it, then you should get your own hosting. A lot of people like to start off with BlueHost of HostGator. Both fairly cheap ($6-7 a month I think). Then just search for how to run your own blog/wordpress site, and you'll find some tutorials.

      As the others have said, dont bother with the free sites, setup a blog on your own domain

      PM if you like as I have a free report I wrote on how to do it step by step if you aren't sure

    Upload a theme is very simple. Log in to your blog as an admin. Click Appearance->themes->Install Theme->upload. Then upload the zip file of the theme and active it.

        Why do you need to ask it again?

        I told you several posts above: forget it on wp.COM because you can NOT upload anything on THEIR server. It is not YOUR blog... they just let you do it on their own server and you do NOT control their server, which means you cannot upload plugins or themes there.

        (it has been posted about a hundred times just here in WF)

        No, you can not do this. You can only use the themes provided by Wordpress.com

    No, you can't. You can only use the themes provided at Wordpress.com.

    And no offense, but it only takes you 5 seconds to find that out by going to your Admin area. If you aren't registered for a blog yet, it would take you about 65 seconds.
