Addon Domain Niche Sites

I would like to know do you create addon domain in your hosting account when adding new niche sites?
i have a reseller account with hostgator was wondering which route is the best way to take.register in its own hosting account or as an addon account?thank you

    I personally do them as addon domains. I think it would get pretty pricey if you had to pay for individual hosting for each

    I use Wordpress Multisite and the domain mapping plugin which allows you run unlimited top level domains from one install of wordpress. easy theme and plugin management and easy maintenance.

    So you need just one cpanel account. no addons. the wordpress software takes care of the mapping.

    You will need a VPS and Dedi server, since you'll need to add wildcards to httpd.conf and the DNS. all this is explained in the guides, or you can pay someone to do it for you.

    I got 4 of these running with 50-60 sites each. A very big time and money saver when dealing with hundreds of sites.
